A team without functional midfield will find themselves blaming everyone from right back to left back to strikers.

This is what we Chelsea fans were going through in the Emenalo years while some Chelsea fans go dey blame every other position without focussing on the real Koko.

Now some confused people on the thread are blaming everyone from AWB to Maguire to Rashford and Martial. Una no know ball!

What makes you think Man City can play midfielders like Delph, wingers like Zinchenko at left back, talkless of midfielders like Fernandinho and Rodri at CB? Not to mention useless defenders like Stones and Otamendi?

Simple - once your midfield is functional, a lot of other positions will be covered. A good midfield covers a lot of sins.

What made OGS think AWB and Maguire are his priority, without touching the midfield. So he thought the likes of Fred and Perreira will keep him competitive? Never mind the fact he lost Herrera who was probably the only thing resembling a half-decent option in that midfield.

This is 80% of your problem. Any other talk is confusion. Long may your confusion continue!!

Facts alone. Let Martial play under a better coach and you will see

Not these NYSC coaches

How many coaches has he played under now?

I hope he won't become like Hazard where his fans always blame the coach.

He played well under LvG. His next 2 coaches were Mourinho and OGS

Selling Lukaku has nothing to do with Ole.
He asked to leave since he was no longer first choice .Do you want Ole to keep an unhappy player? He was even sulking all through last season. Nor could the club also refuse a 70million bid , when we Massively overpaid for him in the first place. The problem is lack of replacement

What made him unhappy in the first place? Ole was obviously going to bench him for Rashford. Ole was coming to interviews to sing praises of Rashford. All those comments Ole made a lot of fans think Ole would turn Rashford to a Ronaldo.

It's a necessary Break from this Forum, and it's worth it to be honest. All these Epistles won't change anything, as far as we are still parading fura-de-nunu Midfielders.

The Team lacks creativity in the Midfield. None of our Midfielders presently is capable of making decisive Passes - bar Pogba. None can hold and drive Ball forward to free the Attackers.

The worse of it is; as far as Young is still starting for United, we are going nowhere.

One more thing, I will take Tuanzebe over Lindelof at the moment.

When Playing against supposed small teams will need at least two creative Midfielders which sadly we don't have and also an attacking full back, Dalot can be use against suppose small team while Bissaka should be use against the big team.

The work of the midfielder is to give the ball to the attackers. The problem is the attacking players who are not creative and skillful breakdown defence

A midfield of Pogba and McTominay is not creative?

How many match has Pogba started? How many teams still make use of 2 midfielders?

I thought you said Pogba will slow down the pace of the game and he’s not hardworking enough? grin

Lukaku again?! You and I know Lukaku ain't gonna make any Difference if at all he's at the Club presently. Infact it would have gone worse with his calamitous first Touch.

How do you expect him to thrive when the other Team park the fuckin Bus?!

AWB is the best we've got now. What do you expect from him?! To cross into the Box with no one to nod or make an Attempt?!

How many Corners we've played so far in all Games?! How many were nodded, even off Target, by our Players?!

If AWB crosses into the Box, to whom exactly?! Let's be fair pls! The Lad is doing his best both offensively and defensively

I always wanted Perreira to play 10, I did believe he's gonna be a Bomb in the Position.... Hold and behold, I'm wrong 100%.

The Mofo should be sold or relegated to a squad Player.

Ole made big Mistake by relying on Mata, Lingard and Pereira as creative Players for the Team.

We need to buy at least 2 creative Players who are damn good Dribblers as well in January.

BTW.... Is there any possibility to get any?! Can't really think of a possible Name right now.... cry

Omo this one enter o.

Good morning grin
When I was 15 I was on a date and we wandered around Chinatown in London and went into the most authentic place we found.

The menu was characters with very poor English translations underneath.

One of the dishes was “Egg with the meat bird” so OBVIOUSLY I had to order it.

It arrived and it was a big round earthenware dish with a gelatinous beige layer of vindictive evil flobbling around on top, like Satans lemon curd but the colour of a hearing aid and the consistency of misery.

I pushed my spoon through this travesty and broke through to the meat bird layer with a damp organic sound as the membrane was pierced, similar to when the eggs open up in Alien.

What followed was a smell unlike anything I’ve ever known to be associated with food. It was an oily pungent stench that leapt to the back of your throat and nostrils and coated itself over them.

It was both rancid meat and rotting eggs and thousands of years of repressed hatred of the white man all at once.

Wiping tears from my eyes I was aware in my peripheral vision of my date gagging and recoiling, and a spreading circle of horrified silence moving rapidly away from our table as the smell hit the other diners, followed closely by a second spreading circle of scraping chairs and a quietly desperate rush for the door.

Under the layer of what I now knew to be biohazard protective eggy depression was a layer of bird embryos that had been fermented in what I can only assume was the acidic urine of the offspring of a jar of sulphur and a carton of primary school milk left in the sunshine on the last day of the spring term and not discovered until September.

Tiny whole bird embryos, beaks half open, eyes glazed, drowned in the liquid Jabba the Hutt orgasms.

That was the worst stench I’ve ever experienced, until I watched United’s midfield display against Bournemouth

Can you really blame Ole for binning lukaku for Rashford? I just saw from a post that from 10th of August to December 16th when Mourinho was sacked last season lukaku only scored 6goals. That's 6 goals in almost 5months. He even also had about a period of 3months were he scored 0 goals from the middle of September to December 1st. Is it not reasonable for manager coming into a club and meeting lukaku in that kind of situation to bench him.
