If I'm correct Xiaomi doesn't really have a lot of mtk devices. Besides, this is one of the selling point of the phone.. I was fortunate enough to watch the phone launch in India as well as the attend the launch here in Nigeria.. I think they are passionate about using this particular SoC. And I know mtk helio series (p60 for example is a performer) are really good.. honestly I have no problem having a mtk device right now (I also know how terrible the mtk were back in the days). Meanwhile I play a lot of pubg so I'm more or less interested only it's pubg performance plus having four camera sensors is fancy

There's nothing new under the sun. Wetin u dey do now don happen here before, the days of the Redmi note 2,then the Redmi note 4 mtk versus snapdragon, even the Redmi pro. Get what you want but Xiaomi will be the first to drop support for their mtk devices. Yes, even older snapdragon devices will likely get better support, quicker miui updates and security patches than the Redmi note 8 pro. No need to drag much, buy if you like it, you might just be lucky .

I was beginning to think I wasn't using a Xiaomi phone o..
