I'm sure you were able to file a study permit application on your own at 21 years of age. I'm happy for you. I didn't have as much knowledge then as I do now, so I used an agent. Thanks for your help

When I was 21 years?? There was no wealth of information on the internet.. infact I didnt even have a good phone for browsing.. Now, you can get this from nairaland, Google, CIC website and a host of other sites. There is no need whatsoever wasting resources on agents. I ain't here to attach you but just want to say that you can do this yourself

What exactly do you need from her? Your UCI number or the reasons for refusal?
You obviously have these so just go ahead and do an LOE just for peace of mind and explain your concerns. As long as she submitted your complete documents, they would see it was just an error. Good luck.

Please, people of God....help! This is from a previous application. An immigration lawyer filled in the wrong course of study in a previous Canadian Study permit application which was eventually refused in 2015. I reviewed the GCMS notes just yesterday and realized that the course of study which the agent input into that application was incorrect and she never included any documentation as proof i.e. B. Sc. certificate. She was provided with all my statement result and every other relevant info she could have possibly needed. I sent her an email as soon as I found out, as she is resident in Canada. I've tried calling but have been unable to get in contact with her. The due date for my EE application submission is on Friday guys. Please how best do I tackle this issue please? I need advice. Seniors, elders....this is when I need you the most. Helpppp!!!!

Dear all ,

Please help my case .

I am post AOR but just got married .
I would like to add my spouse as non-accompanying to my application . I understand that it requires my to increase my POF to funds for a family of 2 but i didn't envisage that I would also be required to pay RPRF and processing fees since my husband does not require the PR . He is an American citizen.
I have read most of the adding spouse threads but no case seems close to mine.
Does anyone have any advice or opinion on how to go from here?
Please assist .

Still need help here.
Someone please assist.

Provide as much PROOF as you can get yo back up your LOE.
You simply cant say "I didn't know" because signing the document means you are confirming all info are correct.

So you can also add the email of enquiry you sent to the agent and any reply she sends you back.

Lastly be very honest in your letter of explanation and pray for the best outcome. It's going to be left to the discretion of the Visa officer. So let the Visa officer be your "Shiloh prayer request". grin

How do you get to see these notes. I was denied study visa in 2015, I can't remember anything pertaining the application. Only thing I remember was that I was denied due to some generic reasons. How can I see my own GCMS notes?

A friend who's resident in Canada helped out in my case, coz I was super busy putting my EE application together. I can help find out but I think I stumbled on some information on GCMS notes on one of the pages on here as well.

In my opinion, present the case via LOE as it is, definitely they would access your previous application because its already locked into their system. explain the situation as you have explained below, you can even include the portion of the GCMS note to clarify your point of just getting to know about what the agent filled 4 years ago.

Thank you so much for the advice.

that is how it used to be, you are on the right track. only your spouses name would be required at the stage you are.

The thing is I can't remember any password or any details of my application other than my name and the school I applied to then. So if I may ask, what are the personal details I need to know in order to access my GCMS notes?

Wes takes time before updating. You can call them when your time is approaching two weeks for them to update tour profile. It should be updated normally before two weeks.
