1. Sokoto:

The northwestern state of Sokoto is a very peaceful state which houses the Sultan of Sokoto, an Islamic head over Muslims in Nigeria. Sokoto state is blessed with natural resources such as Gold. It is not a surprise that it comes as number 1, this is because majority citizens and residents of this state are easygoing and peaceful people.


2. Kebbi:

Kebbi is another northern state which is known to have very peaceful people. Since its creation, little or nothing has been recorded in the state in terms of threat to life or destruction of properties as crime is low in this state.


3. Enugu:

It is only in Enugu that you do not see people rush for buses as buses come and stop for passengers to hop in like bosses. The city is full of peaceful people who are loving. The people are kindhearted; with many willing to help if you're stranded.


4. Ekiti:

The southwestern state of Ekiti, also nicknamed Land of Honour and Integrity, Ekiti state is home to very caring people who are respectful and homely. 5. Akwa Ibom

Akwa Ibom in the South southern part of the country is a state with very free, fun loving people who take life easily. The numerous tourists attraction and sites can attest to that. The state also hosts the best football stadium in West Africa.


6. Jigawa:

You rarely hear about this state even in daily news. The northwestern state is not just a peaceful state, but one with peaceful people. The economy of Jigawa State is largely characterized by informal sector activities with agriculture as the major economic activity. Over 80% of the population is engaged in subsistence farming and animal husbandry. Hence, the noise associated with most industralized states is not same with Jigawa as most people are into agriculture even amidst the endangering desert encroachment in the state.


7. Benue:

Amidst the herdsmen crises that once plagued this state, the people of Benue are very loving people. Taking a ride across it's very large area mass will convince you as it is a very large state. The people are easy to communicate with and have a knack for entertaining stranger visitors well.


8. Gombe:

Asides it is with most northern. states, it is not a surprise that Gombe state made the cut. The state nicknamed Jewel in the Savannah, though low in literacy rate, the state is full of highly loving and peaceful people.


9. Ondo:

Ondo state is a southwestern state with very welcoming and peace loving people. If you are looking for a yoruba state to calm down your nerves, Ondo state is the perfect place.
