RTSC:Actually i am not in the mood of ego competition. A bigger economy does not translate to successful economy and with your other ranting it only show you aren't exposed yourself and it seems you hardly know how buisness work . A Nigerian bank in Ghana is listed on stock exchange , making it practically Ghanaian equity as well. at least regarding the cinemas, it only shows you know next to nothing . goggle local Ghana cinemas . I will have aid your understanding but i want to take my breakfast now |

AtikuNetwork: The Ghanaians are also saying that Nigerian traders are bringing into Ghana goods that are already banned in Nigeria. However, the Nigerian businessmen import and clear these goods at the ports in Cotonou and then transport the goods into Ghana using the land borders, thereby also denying the Ghana govt. the needed revenue. Per ECOWAS laws, only goods manufactured within the sub-region can be freely transported across the land borders. This is to avoid situations whereby member states could use different import/customs tariffs to undermine the economies and trade among member states in the sub-region. In a nutshell, if you want to import goods that are not manufactured in ECOWAS, you can only import and sell in the same country, but not to import in Cotonou and go sell in Nigeria etc. This is same reason Nigeria closed the borders because of the importation of rice into Cotonou and then transporting same to sell in Nigeria. The Ghanaians are saying foreign business men should do only wholesale trade, and leave the retail segment for only indigenes. |

Just30:If we make this move permanent, Ghana economy will cripple, your President is crying already, and your minister said it in an interview, he is smarter than you, listen to him. The banks there pay lots of taxes to your government, give loans to Ghana businesses, and give Ghanaians good paying jobs. They will just move their equity to other markets or ventures...Think before you talk, but yet again you are Ghanaian, your iq can never be on same level as a Nigerian. We are your big brother remember 2 Likes |

Just30:We have lots of food to choose from, what you supply us is not a necessity...noone is feeling anything, Ghana is insignificant when it comes to Nigerian economy, you need our market, we don't need you, our market is big enough for our producers and manufacturers. you short devils are only being tolerated. How will our economy cripple if we ban Ghana goods?... Please make sense, don't disgrace your country's educational system in a public forum. Mention one necessity that Ghana supplies us? |

dederocs:you are insignificant to the Ghanaian economy we dont you in our country but you cant stop coming. you dumb and illiterate shit are just a drain on the Ghanaian economy. your economy is not crippling because you banned goods from Ghana it is crippling because you can hardly feed yourself and that is why there is food shortages everywhere as i speak. i cry for the 100 plus million extremely poor people in your country. cause they will now have to pay more for rice and other foods |
Re: Ghanaian Traders Lock Shops Belonging To Nigerians & Other Foreigners by dederocs(m): 2:23pm On Nov 05, 2019 |
Just30:Our markets are filled with food, our lands are fertile, and the only major produce we import is rice, our producers are bridging the gap between demand and supply, and Nigerians will soon loose taste for those plastic rice, and embrace our natural Ofada rice and other brands by Dangote and co... There is yams, plaintans, potatoes, cassava, millet, wheat, corn...rice is not the only staple food there is, Nigerians will start eating other foods more and rice less, that solves the problem of rice prices. |

vaxx2:Practically Ghanian in equity? lol As if your poor small economy can create a company of that size. Just one word from buhari and those companies would leave. Ungrateful people. You are not interested in an ego trip because you are not capable of an ego trip against Nigeria. You should reserve that for your poor neighbours. Nigerian economy is more successful than the whole of west Africa combined. Your traders buy goods imported with Nigerian dollars from Nigeria, thereby putting undue pressure on our naira. You all are basically leaching on our national blood like vampires. And to crown it all, you are ungrateful. |

setobaba: This qouted epitomises Africans, why Africans are "natural slaves" and sold their people into slavery. Africans do not want to see the progress of other Africans not of their area and will do anything to belittle any other African not of their area that threaten to win the respect of none Africans. One of the many reasons I love Nigerians is that, among Africans, the area called Nigeria seem peopled by those capable of appreciating other Africans, wishing those Africans well and praising and elevating those above himself, a very rare quality in Africa and precious . One of the many reasons I have come to loathe Ghanaians is that their mindset is envious and filled with those little negative things which to together epitomises the failure of the black race. He is a monumental COON, seller of own kind, the people of the crab barrel. He is only capable of wanting good for those not of his race, loving them and elevating them no mater what they do to him and his kind. Nigerians need to wish Ghana /Ghanaians well, for they are Africans, and then turn your backs on them. Leave their Nation if possible and face front. Do Nigerian things, praise Nigerian things, keep em out of your words, music, blogs, and talk; just face Nigerian issues and Nigeria future. We Nigerian have a fight on our hands to build a great Nigeria that will help Africa and black around the world gain a sense of themselves in order to hold their heads high, we don’t need the distraction of energy sapping blacks that aren’t capable of seeing the larger picture, that keep snapping out your hills when your actually fighting for them against the tyranny of a racist world. 1 Like |

Just30:You are a clown. List any Ghanian bank that has employed half of what zenith bank alone has done.? Do you even have a commercial bank? Even your entertainment sector, is leaching off Nigeria in every way. You are very fortunate to be anglophone, which is why Nigeria treat ghana like a sister country, else you are not better than Burkina Faso or Mali. |

dederocs:wait, av a second look at those words u typed.. "Nigeria government must demand Ghana rescind this law as one of the conditions to opening our border to their goods"... So u belief Nigeria being a sovereign state can force Ghana another sovereign state, who attained his sovereignty even before ur country thought of starting the push for his independence to rescind such a law??..The reality is that no Ghanaian is saddened by ur so-called border closure, as a matter of fact, the GUTA commended ur government for such act which is aimed at augmenting the buoyancy of ur economy n the indigenous traders and actually called on the Ghanaian government to emulate same. 2 Likes 1 Share |

RTSC:You aren't smart ...the reason I ignore you earlier. one of Nigeria bank was recently closed down for failure to meet the amount needed for recapitalization, another Nigeria bank had to inject cash from her parent bank in Nigeria for continuous buisness operation. Ghana commercial bank alone is far bigger than Any bank operated in Ghana and it is fully a GHANAIAN bank , this exclude consolidated bank which is by far another big bank in Ghana. zenith is one of the best bank in Ghana not the richest or biggest employer. the biggest employer are the banks I made mention above with British and south Africa bank doing far well than Any Nigeria bank. reasons for choosing Ghana wasn't just about the national language but about the working buisness enviroment. I am sure you aren't aware they are Ghanaian indigenous industry in Nigeria. go learn guy and stop your ignorance bragging online. 2 Likes 1 Share |

vaxx2:You probably don't realise that most of the biggest banks in Ghana are Nigerian. Apart from stanbic ibtc and Barclay bank, and one or two, the remaining banks of note are Nigerian. From First bank to zenith, GTB, UBA, Fidelity, Ecobank, and a host of others. Just Google most of them if you are not sure. And it is not just in your financial sector. Every sector in Ghana has a Nigerian footprint. You clowns have managed to use your anglophoneness to absorb Nigerian investment without being grateful. Anyway, it would end soon. GUTA will bring it to an end with their actions. 1 Like |

Ghana commercial bank is nothing of note. Apart from within Ghana, it has no presence. It is just a local champion riding on nationalistic induced patronage within Ghana. Those banks i listed are bigger than your Ghana bank multiple times. 1 Like |
