na...from experience...the health state of both parent is most important...less than a year dog could attain breeding size and have a large litter when bred...when are the necessary tinz r put in place...do d needful and feed ur dog well with exercise...u will b fyn

it's true, the more mature a dog is, the lower the egg and sperm production will be.
male dogs can breed till death but most times you should stop by 8yrs, while females should be stopped around 5 yrs.
the prime childbearing age of a female dog is around 2yrs-4/5 yrs

There are a few important factors that determine the size of a litter
Females: Number of eggs released during ovulation; Quality of food given during gestation; Stressful situation the female can be in(this can induce abortion by reabsorbtion or explusion)

Males: Sperm Count,Sperm motility, Condition of the male during breeding, Infection
