What previous level of education do you have? Which schools did you apply to? These will help people here answer your question rightly. |

This may not be the main or only reason but I want to point out that Lambton College is not necessarily prestigious. Looks like one of those colleagues in the U.K. that caters primarily to international students from India and Pakistan with questionable practices. https://www.quora.com/How-is-Lambton-College-in-Toronto-Canada Things like this affect the visa officers perception of why you are applying for the visa ie is he a true student who doesn’t know the reputation of the college or just one of many who are using it to game the system. And you don’t need to start with things like I’m of Nigerian descent etc. then know all that from your application. [quote author=Olamide319 post=83732046]Good Day every one, I Visa Consular, Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada. Sir/Madam, I, Mr. a Nigerian descent would like to apply for a study visa in order to further my education in Canada, I have completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger state, Nigeria in 2017. Motivated by my desire in this field, I have gained an admission offer to study Embedded System Engineering Design in the prestigious Lambton College for January 2020. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Mandyknows: 1:05pm On Nov 05, 2019 |
Eligibility requirements You can study in Canada if you: • are enrolled at a designated learning institution (DLI) • prove you have enough money to pay for your: ◦tuition fees ◦living expenses for yourself and any family members who come with you to Canada and ◦return transportation for yourself and any family members who come with you to Canada • obey the law, have no criminal record and get a police certificate (if required) • are in good health and get a medical exam (if required) • prove to an officer that you will leave Canada when your study permit expires Not sure if this helps though and which point may have led to failing the eligibility requirements. Fummieluv: Hello Fummieluv, Straight to your questions: 1. In as much as the VO wants to see a course/program that shows evidence of a career advancement or self-development like pursuing a degree higher that the previous. Thus, going for professional programs like PGC/D instead of a Masters can be also seen as an advancement but depending on how expressive the decision for the intended program can be relayed. 2. Not married or having a child out of wedlock doesn't create any negative picture about you or susceptible to your application. Its advisable you shouldn't hide your child in your application, as it may have future consequences to either her or you. However, she serves as a very crucial and strong home ties especially if you can use her to suit a better narrative when talking about your home ties and application in general. 3. Yes, landed properties are good home ties but to some extent, how you present them to the VO and tlak about it in your SOP is of great importance. 4. No! The scrutinization of an application could take different forms based on the discretion of the VO. However, to some extent, age could play certain dominant factor but nothing to worry about, just package your application to the best of your knowledge. 5. No, travel history isn't use to scrutinized SP applicants but it could play a significant factor towards your home ties and sincerity to return. 6. That's why you should go for a course that relates to your previous degree or your work experience if it has become a new found passion. Good luck! 3 Likes |
