No cause for alarm, Uber has replied me. Now we can go out and work.

Yh I noticed the head line was different from the content, the truth is that uber still remains the no1 ehailing app, they respect partners time. For me uber is more than a driver's app it's an incorporation

Hmmm with the way things are, I wouldn’t really advise it except of course there’s some money stashed somewhere.

When repairs hit you for HP ehn, you go remember your village people.

I believe if he drives full time on HP, he can still have some money to himself after the weekly remittance. He just needs to be prudent with money so he can have money to fall back on in case of downtime and maintenance. 1.5M for a 2007 corolla is a good deal.

Yes boss!
Hope i didn't do too badly? Took a break of 3 hours to sleep and rest, rounded up today's hustle at 7pm.
Tomorrow is another day. Hopefully, this car would continue its smooth ride till the weekend before i think of my next line of action.

Good that you're bouncing back bro.

No space for village people!!!

It is one thing to get a car for 500k Naira or less.. It is another thing to know how to maintain the car .. Nigeria or Africa as a whole, except for South African that I know of .. We lack maintenance culture.. And you know that uber and bolt riders will not tolerant cars that have issues at all ... in a situation that owner of the car will manage whatever issues the car has .. A rider will not tolerant that and will end up giving the driver a bad rating.. If the driver's rating is bad enough , he will be blocked until those issues are address.. By that time the driver has no savings in his account.. And he would end up looking for another car drive ...meaning he is now looking for a partner to get a car from ... And the circles continues and continues .. This is why car parts is a big business in Ladipo... until we change our maintenance culture , drivers will never be able to own their own cars successfully ....Most drivers can't even maintain partners cars ,so it is their own car they will now maintain? I know how much money I spend in taking care of my fleet.. Majority of owners could not do what I do .....

This is Honda Accord 2004. Going for 244k, yes the body looks banged up but it is a four cylinder EOD. Possible the owner couldn't maintain it. I work directly with cars45 and I see alot of Nigerian used car up for sale at very cheap price the online price is always the best. If 150k is put on this vehicle you wont know it again. And with that you haven't still spent up to 500k. This is just one of many cars less than 500k.

Today is the 1st day this week I'm stepping out to hustle, if I was on rental or HP I cant do that due to pressure to meet up weekly payment. I hail guys wey they remmit weekly that one na jackey work. Fleet owners dont feel like am spoiling business oh. The truth some ppl will still be slaves no matter the knowledge you try to expose them to that's how this life was designed, so fear not the ocean has many fishes so the bait must catch one if not more.

The point is I maintain my car better than most partners. It is part of a running a business... with the rite car , good maintenance culture and good drivers . Profit will surely be made.. My 03 tokunbo that has been on the road for six months plus.. We just did the very first major repair seen the car has been on the road.. We spend 26k naira on bushings, brake pads, linkages, balljoints .. If it was another partner now, the repairs will not be fix..

My brother Nigerian used cars are money pits no matter how cheap you buy them and fix them .. 80% of the time the engine is gone and shorten oil.. And the engine will need replacement .. This is due to the fact of the use of wrong engine oil.. The ever popular 20w50 and once the engine is replace .. The new owner continues to use the wrong engine oil . This is one of the problems you will notice with cheap cars .. Until owners of cars learn to maintain their cars ,they will continue to be slaves to one thing or the other.. Slaves to mechanic, slaves to petrol station.....

E be like say car never show u pepper? Someone should buy a naija used Honda accord priced @244k for ehailing?
My friend bought naija used accord, he can't even drive it to work, it is more of a trophy car. Any time he drives it, there must be something to fix. Presently car is at home waiting to fix engine seat. Whenever we go to site he doesn't drive because we may encounter bad spots, Is that d kind of car u want someone to use for ehailing?

Someday I will go about giving 1star just for fun. One of your own did it to me too. First to do no dey pain...

One chic (I suspect her) did this to me... She came in and said "how can your rating be 5 " that she saw it and said she must meet this person... We gisted the whole trip, she laughed a lot... Later 4.9

Na then I begin leave taxify

Someone that is a driver is a driver, no challenge of a vehicle that cant be conquered, the most important thing as long as it can run and has clean interior, and a good mechanic the vehicle go do another 3years. Do the mat what you can save as the owner of the car in 3years and the mint trouble of metting weekly remittance target.

I worked under target before I was laid off that sh***t ain't funny

House please i need a car for HP used corolla uber standard i have 300k down payment.

I know you can add money and buy a smaller Uber standard car with 300k+ , but trust me, ca r issues arises and saving up for those days may come sooner.

So my advice based on my experience is - keep that 30k. Don’t buy any car for now, find a reliable partner, get a RENT. Don’t default. Save for like 6 months on 25-30k weekly remittance. And make this car buying decisions later.

In 6 months you’d have had experience on the platform, you’ll have known which car is best for you, and must have seen some better deals cos you have money and have saved extra for it.

Best wishes
