Following Tuesday morning fire out break at popular Balogun Market in Lagos, the Lagos State government has began clearing of debris from the site.
According to NAN's report, one Brasas Plaza on Martins Street had an electrical fault on its fifth floor which led to the fire outbreak. It was also learnt that the building had in previous years witnessed such fire outbreak, especially when the year was coming to an end.

‘’This is no longer new to us because every year, apart from last, this building always burns.

‘’This building is owned by one business woman. The building is not part of Balogun market,’’ one of the traders said.

Recall that the governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu yesterday, paid a condolence visit to victims of the Balogun market fire.

Sanwo-Olu spoke directly to the victims of the Balogun market fire outbreaks, shared the government’s care package to the victims while reassuring that the market will be moved to a more permanent and safer site.

The traders will not move from that spot!

They will pay 1million to have make shift shops than move from Balogun and it's environs.

Make I go buy my Ankara for balogun grin

A wise Christian husband who knows that his wife was created in the image of God does not tell his wife that she is becoming fat.

He says the image of God is Increasing.

What are you thinking is irrational as always- juju ritual. Don't bother mentioning it.

It burns because of there no sure safety checks and preventive measures to prevent such fire outbreaks in Nigeria.

Worst of all, there no stable, safe and structured electricity supply. It is ignorance and corner-cutting made, and it is bound to get some and more devastating unless rational measures are put in place
