I was at Zenith Bank yesterday to make enquiries and I was told that the new cbn policy does not affect tbills in any way as long as I'm not a debtor or owing money anywhere. I'm waiting for the next auction date which is sometime next week to see if my request for tbills will go through and what the interest rate will be. 4 Likes |

Good afternoon all. I went to First Bank yesterday to submit my primary auction for next week. I learnt now that the money has been deducted from my account now. I don't have the idea of Primary TBS. I usually opt to secondary if not because of this new system. People in the house, is that how primary TBS does. I thought it should be a DAT before auction day. |

Fyabdul: That has always been FBN style for primary market except they forget. Most times they take the money from your reach as soon as you request. Your situation seem favourably different compare to mine. They keep telling me they have not been adviced to treat TB.. Even today I have been told same. So I have decided to gradually move my small savings as the TBs I have there matures. 2 Likes |

alphascorpio: then why is the rate now very low? i saw 8% yesterday for secondary and just 2 maturity day. 212 days and 242 days |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by zamirikpo(m): 2:31pm On Nov 08, 2019 |
Akin3891: stanbic took my application for next weeks auction and told me they had only 125days on the secondary market, just incase I was interested. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Mills55: 2:36pm On Nov 08, 2019 |
Got 135 days at Stanbic this morning at 10.5%. Secondary market. They said secondary market will stop on the 29th of this month. People are really locking in their fund in the longer period. The reason why u cannot easily get long period for now. |

I-invest is still selling TB. Guess the confusion is over
