Leadership is about example. If PMB will stay & show example of how to live in a border closed country. Then no Nigerian will complain. However after every hardship, there is a relief right after it. Till then |

The borders should be closed until Buhari leaves office and the next president should sustain the policy until all our dead industries are revived and can compete with imported goods. 4 Likes |

ladilawal82:They should close it for 40 years.... useless citizens... So they have to close border for Nigerians leaving in Nigeria to buy our products. The big questions that should be ask is why? Do you think Nigerians hate made in Nigeria because it is made in Nigeria? The answer is no...we must address the root cause of the problem |

Meanwhile, the impact of the border closure seems to be creeping in as workers at Nichem Textile Factory around Ogolonto area of Ikorodu, Lagos, told our reporter that they had resumed their shifts owing to increased patronage of the company’s products.^^^^The quoted above is so heart-warming 7 Likes |

When good quality rice is N9k, you pay subsidy to yr croonies to produce above N20K of a lesser quality that you can't even export due to price difference...& you still pay for fertilizer subsidy.... I see una sense Even if you want to start massive rice production, all states shld have plantation & processing facilities b4 this nonsense Senseless govt. Why don't you leave the edibles at least. People can't buy fish, rice, but yr cows still roam freely across the borders 1 Like |

ladilawal82: How Some customs officers are smiling to the bank, you people are here decieving yourselves, even with the help of the NCS, NCS, NPF, NA, NA, NN they cannot covers our borders. The most annoying part is that the activities is still going on for the real smugglers, yet they refused to reduce the price as they are even making more profits now, while the people are seriously suffering...more efforts ought to have been done to increase productivities before border closure, because demand is far more than the supply and to me , there is more to the border closure than what the federal govt is telling Nigerians, no govt has ever been concern about the people but what they stand to gain, mostly as it affects the custom duties whereby the Benin Republic. has been benefitting hugely from it and you can only blame it on the federal govt for lacking modern technologies to check movement in the borders which are all available in most of our border nations. |

[quote author=nanakgh post=83843642][s]Another thread for 180 million people to masturbate on. Not some technological innovation, or some breakthrough in science but a mere border closure. A situation that requires tact to fish out the main culprits and u simply make a decision that encompasses all, even the innocent. It's only in black Africa that this calls for celebration, especially if there's nothing else to celebrate. SMH.[[/s]/quote] |

omoadeleye:No sensible human being puts his family business outside. For every 10 reported negative news about America there is 100 more unreported. That's called country integrity. Even though they criticise their politicians but they love their country. Most of you Nigerians don't know this. You think you most abuse your country just to get to your politicians. The politicians care less about your country that's why they are stealing your money. Go fight them and let your country be. 2 Likes |

Our reporter also came across several trailer loads of cow skin (kpomo) purportedly from Mali also rotting away and forcing the owners to rent warehouses to offload. Some others were seen drying the skin on the floor along the road to salvage some.So we import kpomo too? 1 Like |
