Anacondaprick: Ballers? That's neither trade nor office work. What are your friends into? What do they do? It's not sufficient to say someone is a "baller" in the abroad. 20 Likes 4 Shares |

My story is two part. First, I was an undergraduate studying Russian language in Unilag and decide to go Russia, get Russian visa thru Unilag, went to Russia and only to be refuse entry. The whole journey lasted for only three days and I was deported back to Naija. I wanted to go back then to Russia then cos my Visa is still valid but decided against it and went to buy jamb form and got admitted to Unilag studying Educational administration. That was 2008. My second experience. During NYSC in 2012, I know for sure looking for job at 30 with 2:2 in Naija na die. I decided I am going to try Yankee student visa but money tight die. I did all the leg work myself from finding the school, to writing GRE and going to the embassy. God answered my prayer and the Visa came thru and life has never been the same. I am not a millionaire but I am doing good for myself and my immediate family. Note: like someone said in an earlier post, traveling is not for everybody and you must have plans when you want to travel. Traveling does not worth risking your life thru desert or jungle cos you will be surprise that a lizard in Nigeria will not turn to crocodile in America 43 Likes 6 Shares |

Story story, story time. I was too desperate to get out of the shit hole country like most people. Used oriolori eseelese but dapada along the journey. Later eventually traveled through right means but my host got different life philosophy from mine. I endured, prayed hard latter distance away from him. No place like home. One Nigeria is a mistake and mess. The generals destroyed the country out of their extreme greediness. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Nigsrdumb: Why pessimism? Is Nigeria better than Europe? Let people try their fate in different places. Some people are being used, others are making it. Everyone has his own story. Kindly desist from discouraging people cause of personal failures. If you point out the challenges, point out the benefits too. Balance it out. 14 Likes |

Hello guys. Nice topic anyway. Abroad is better for a struggling person who which to better his life and of his family members. But bro is not essy as pepple who travelled and came back and tell you tale story. But st end of the dsy it wort it. Good exposure. Big boy of a thing. If your God is with you whatever you not achieve in a long time can be done in short while but most of all be honest and truthful. We that are outside for long are hungry to return home. We missed good food. I mean local food not import food. Akpu. Gari. Ugu soup. Most egwusi lool. When u make it big everyone will loke u. Even those who rejected you before. Christmas is around the corner those who doen t have will hide but remember if u dont have this time nect you will have. But please dont borrow to travel it will put alot of pressure to you. Now cannot count my achievements by God's grace. I chooses what i drive now not like bfore. Had work do pay. With God and respect . Everyone will make it in jesus name ame.. another thing. What is it thst nollywood people are always acting. Chief and deity. Doest ut means our gods of our forefathers are not gods of prosperity. Always good from beginning at end one iz dying. People outside our shores are laughing to our customs there is alot to write with good and happy endings. Even my travel to overseas can be a good script to watch. Long leave to all. I wish u all happy Christmas in advance. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Nigerians complain of bills. They convert it to naira to sound big but no one ever converts their income to naira. Oga, you want to earn in foreign currency and spend in naira? The western world is structured towards reducing financial gaps if and where possible. You get value for your taxes/bills. You live comfortably. On our own side, we are used to aiming to be overwhelmingly richer than people around us. We would do anything to enjoy a system without contributing to it 25 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello nairalanders, my journey abroad has been about Gods grace. When i was in naija, after my national diploma(ND). I told myself that am not pushing through with my HND due to some face I went through in school, and I decided that I would use my ND certificate to work due to high hope I have on my people at abj for help, spend like 3yrs in abj doing nothing, life at some point became miserable, I was tired and frustrated with life and because of that, I began indulging myself in some shit in other to find solace. My people kept promising that I will get the federal govt job while waiting on that an opportunity came of traveling out, so I have two options the Nigerian job or the Dubai job. In my mind I did not want the Dubai job due to some fear factor and the other hand I was praying for naija job but I told God his will should be done, and anyone that first come out of the two his is will. God so good the Dubai came out and to the glory of God am in Dubai. 8months plus working in Dubai, it has'nt being easy but we thank God. The only advice I can give anybody that's want to travel out is please get yourself some IT training and make sure are good at it cos opportunity may arise at anytime and be careful of those agent out there with their sweet talk, most of them are lies, I met some Nigerian in Deira Dubai, they told me of their story it was so painful, one told me he spent like 3million all in the name of traveling out and that is visa is remaining 2weeks. There are so many I met can't put them into words. 16 Likes 2 Shares |

I am currently in USA now but on business trip. Please stay in your country and do what ever you can legitimately. America is not easy ooh especially when you don’t have host. You will ever regret coming to USA. Nigeria is the best country in the world, take it or leave it. I have seen a lot of Nigerians here in miserable life style. Broke and living in hell. No happiness. No concrete jobs. They cant come back because family n frnds are expecting big money, mansions and cars. Please stay in your country and hussle. If you have scholarships fine , come and study and go back home. spiritedtete: 4 Likes 1 Share |

soleexx: Your best bet to Germany is schooling... So you won't end up in detention camp... Your Schengen visa without a proper plan.. might end taking you to Albania.. lol. There is no boom hustle in Europe. Just find someone (a live in legal visitor or a citizen) who can help you with your stay and guarantee your papers for you. .. otherwise you will be checking your behind all the time... Don't give your money to all those sugar coated agent oo 4 Likes |
