It's a matter of once beaten, twice shy. If you go through my history here, you will see that I've been scammed before. I trusted the idiot with $140 only for him to turn out to be a scammer. Since then, it's been difficult trusting strangers on nairaland.

On the currency thread you have escrows, you may not know them personally, but they have good reputation and people send millions to them. Funlord, Ladyf, tabbaz singapore01 and the likes have built a trust reputation overtime that is why they can do escrows.

Same applies here, we have trusted dealhunters like wildchild, frinx,chisomk9 them plenty, that also have very good reputation.

Only a fool or a greedy person would get scammed here and luckily nobody has everr been scammed here.

It's easy to scam on the ecurrency because you deal with digital currencies that are not traceable. These are fast transactions.
You send AGC to a scammer first before payments you are suya.
You send Bitcoins to a scammer first you are suya
Even if a scammer sells paypal to you and he sends payment first, you are suya cos they can charge back.
Even with escrow self people still get scammed, that place na WW3.
Then this is where the KING of all scams happen MITM SCAM, whalai you go confuse.


1. Here, the first thing you need to do is confirm from the picker if the said item was truly picked up and for who exactly.
2. Then you can ask for Vouches from 2 or 3 reputable members or active members on the thread.
3. If you dey fear go wait for the person for pickup location when items Land.

Option 1 Is what is giving scammers headache. Recently one tried to come up with his own Imaginary picker and he Failed.
