It is not the main reason. Onne was not the problem, that vessel moved or sailed from Onne to Equatorial Guinea, not the other way round.


The reason they don't like the route is because it is not a deep sea, the canal's need dredging work to expand. Big vessels find it difficult to sail through that route's canal.

I usually shake my head when jokers like you mention Yoruba Muslims. Is it a crime to be Yoruba and Muslim? are there no Igbo Muslim, Hausa Christians, American Muslims, European Muslims, Arab Christians. The world is moving on while dumbs like you think you can castigates others because of their identity? God owns the earth and He created whatever He likes in it. Try to get exposure, people like you still got a long way to go.

You said it's due to security reasons that vessels don't call at ports in the south, only in Lagos, and I'm pointing out to you that vessels coming from any direction south of africa has to pass through that area before getting to Lagos. And Lagos ports are located in the gulf of guinea, same region with security challenges. Leave politics out of it sir.
