Zero Naira. I was working for my sister's husband (a very wicked and stingy man). He said he couldn't pay me since I was staying in his house and eating less than two square meals.

I'm happy for where I am today, but I have a message for everyone : don't work for free for anyone simply because you live in his/her house cos that thing sets one backwards in the hustling race. It's better to sleep under the bridge and work for pay than to sleep in a mansion for a free work

As early as my secondary school days i was earning nothing lesd than 1.5k or more nothing less for bricklayer job. This was in 2012/2013, in 2014 i was earning 8k monthly with a daily minimum pocket money of 500h, thats about say 12k +8k =20k. In a beer warehouse

Way back 2012. As a Bsc degree holder I was employed in an organization willing to pay only N10,000 and paltry commission for targets that is far difficult to achieve. I joined following advice of job experience from wicked and village pipu on this yeye forum. 3 months later I was sacked not able to meet their unrealistic target. I have no regrets because am now self employed doing great.

Working with a cargo company then , worked from morning till night carrying cargies at Nigerian avians, was thinking manager go fill my pocket that day paaa, it wasn't funny, at about 8pm we go to the office store to offload my manager go say he wants to go get money from ATM was so .... happy, he came back and started giving stories, e be like say make i kill am, that was the first time i use a train cus i was left with N120 , he even left me standing, MR Kazeem ,,, i cant ever forget him. Most people just wicked , since then i left the job about two weeks to that time and promised myself never to work for someone again, and i haven't till now.

Was paid 0 naira for all my 6 months at GTE 13 years ago, but as God would have it, I met the person that connected me to my present company during lunchtime at GTE, and God turned my nothing to something a year later.

Today would not be possible if I didn't go through that phase as God had planted my helper around a 0 naira job.

It was one insurance company o. They said we will be paid based on commission, no fixed pay. And you know how selling insurance can be in Nigeria. I’m not sure I even got paid once sef in those 4 months I spent there. And I was spending tfare to and fro like about #500 everyday. How naive I was then that I just wanted to build up my cv. And this was 7 years ago.

It depends on when the account was opened, he did his NYSC in 2000/2001 and registered on Nairaland in 2005 (14 years ago) one of the very first set.
If the account was opened recently, you had made sense.

Hmmmm...My was in year 2009, while waiting for my desired banking work as an IT. I,humbly joined building work as a help boy and was paid #1,000 daily, but not up to 1 week my banking work came calling..

This was my first job as I had just shutdown my tech startup.

I got to find out that I was clearly under valued and my colleagues in same position were earning at least 50% more. I didn't negotiate my salary well but needed to get back on my feet so I had to accept the offer.

I stayed on that job for 1 year before resigning and getting a way better offer.

I also remember my first job, teaching at a school in Ikorodu for 12k monthly, later I took two classes and the money increased to 17k and then I started driving the school bus and the money jumped to 27k. I was working like crazy and all the other teachers envied me. Worked at a KFC as a doorman for 15k monthly, 2 days on, 2 days off. Took another at a tomato processing company for 800/day 7am-7pm.
I saved up money and did drivers license, got a 40k job and it was like a 400k monthly job. Nowadays, I just drive Uber and wait for the next big stage, life is in stages!
