Mine was filling a flat with 3 trips of a ten tire truck load of sand with two other of my friends, and we were paid 2500 naira by the contractor.

He actually short change us as we were naive then, because it was our first time.


We feel say the work no go too strong until i almost throw my hand follow shovel.

We almost run leave the work initially, but because of the yabbing say we lazy made us complete the job.

Mine was 10k when I was undergoing my IT in a private IT company back then in school. In fact the man said he wasn't gonna pay me and I gladly accepted because I just wanted to further my learning in web development but after a week i had almost exhausted the money my parents gave me on transport. I had to go back and reason with the man. Luckily for me, I later met a neighbour who works(in a bank) close to the company, so I always 'hitched' a ride when he's leaves for work.

Another was when I just learnt how to print and customize t-shirts and jerseys, my first client paid me just 1k to help customise his jersey. Yeah, I was desperate and I wanted to sell my service to the public and it helped me quite well. I started getting printing job contracts. Quite stressful but the pay is worth it. I have kinda put furthering my web development plans on hold for now

Then i sent this CV only for him to tell to come over that my CV isn't jumia Standard.. My first job, 23k per month after NYSC, it was a contract job and I was retained after the one month contract, it wasn't desperation, I just wanted the experience.

Does selling count? Because now I make clothes..and I was forced to sell a pair for #2,500 when the cost of the raw materials was #2,600 without labour, but I was really desperate for cash so I accepted

I got this job to manage two hotel's and a bar joint though as the general manager, the owner is a branch manager with first bank, we agreed 100k as the salary but will be on two months probation which he will pay 70k.

We agreed on radio advert, flier advert and social media advert once I come in to boost sales.

When I cam in I bothered and bothered him to start the adverts as agreed of which he complained of finance to carry it out.

After a month he asked me to resign cos sales didn't improve and I did.

He paid me 40k and up till today when i call him he will say he didn't make profit the month I worked for him.

After numerous interviews from the so called professionals, I was paid 25k.
Why go through all those processes of interview just to pay me 25k?

Brothers, mine is the worst here,,
worked for an a popular insurance company for 2months to 3, not even a kobo was paid to me, I found out they are just using graduates for nothing, after using my money to be travelling and hunting for clients..
secondly, after that, I ran into a Total filling station, imagine me, a graduate, worked as a pump attendant for months, salary was 10k, at the end of each month, I have to still pay shortages to the company because those managers has twisted their pumps in a way to defraud the customers, so, due to these, error in calculations always occur after sales from the machines, therefore may have only about 6k left for me. I raised alarm once I found out d root cause, I turned an enemy, and has to leave.

Even till date, I still earn a lower five digit salary now, very underappreciated where I work,, has to work weekends and overtime without even a thank you lip service talk less of pay.

I pray For something better, and for my plans for business to work out for me as planned.
