I hope those reading are learning from all these stories. Always ensure that your children are trained in the family business, have knowledge about assets and raised to be responsible. Spoiling your child is not for their benefit at all. They will be vulnerable to people like OP if anything happens to you. How can a 20yr old even sit down and allow OP to adopt her or even go this far?

So sure their mother did not even give him access to the properties, but if we check well he discovered all the properties from the gullible 20yr old! He probably adopted them after this and thinks because he is their “parent” now, he has certain rights to the property. OP is a scheming and opportunistic relative.

If another relative who has good intentions should find out about OP and his intentions, I am sure all his plans will be scattered.

Sigh! His greedy heart is already scheming and wanting to reap what he didn't sow! Typical!
@op, please leave the property for her children.
Manage your life as deem fit -get a job and take care of the children and leave all their mama properties for them.
She dey look you.

We learn every day. Soon now he will go marry and that's the end for their properties. Op, may clean hands be your fortune.
She trained you meaning she has done you well - so make sure you do well to her children by leaving all their properties for them.

Thank God he isn’t married. The wife would have pressured him to chop and clean mouth. He would have found an easy accomplice to his schemes. Such a man will marry a greedy woman too. They would have chopped those children, mistreat them and throw them on the streets when they are done with them. The 20yr old is annoying me the most to be honest. I imagine this happening to me at 20. I was kuku raised to only respect those who respect themselves. grin. It would have been OP opening a thread on how to manage a disrespectful and rich niece. Rubbish.

OK friends ...I have a lot in my hands and I need matured advice not to make mistakes please... I lost my rich aunt last year ....she handed over her properties and two kids to me to take care ...(adopted.the girl is 20yrs .just finished jamb .the boy is 12yrs .just going into js1)

now I'm 39. not married.and lost my job 2months ago....no liquid cash left but I have in my custody 4 units of 3bedroom flats ....also a 6 bedroom duplex not yet finished so no tenant yet... since my aunt was so secretive I had to start looking for other houses she didn't say...I have found two in an estate .....somewhere...nobody knows about it but me.I'm yet to find out more properties about 4. I have a new kia sport age jeep too in my possession ....

now d demand for upkeep and school fees from these two kids is really eating me up...have to borrow pending wen tenants pay .late payment most times....

now I'm turn in between selling one of the houses I found out on code. 10million.just a small apartment....I know I can start life wit it.love most of the problems, look for more properties and complete the 6 bedroom duplex.... my question and fear is that should I sell it and start life or keep managing with tenant fee and late payment ..?

Go to a lawyer and explain all this things to him

You are likely to swear an affidavits lf things in you procession and the one you will want to sell and your reasons for selling anyone

You think her siblings are not going to ask you any future questions

Guide and protect your actions for your own safety when the needs arise

They will definitely come and confront you is not now very soon

Didn't you save anything from your previous job before you got sacked?

If she were to be alive, what would you have been doing to survive since there's no job anymore?

You can sell the property and start a new life. You just had to add that the children were adopted to calm your crying conscience.. It's already in your thought and I won't tell you otherwise.

But before I drop my pen, let me announce to you that greed is deeper than what it appears to be, it usually starts with 'just this one..

And you see the human mind, it will show you a thousand and one more reason why you should sell just another building to augment the money realized from the sale of the previous house so that your life can make more more sense.

You will keep selling and squandering the money because there's more... And by the time the ccockkk crows at dawn, there would be nothing left for the children she left behind..

You've said it all. Thats how he will sell out all the properties. And I have a feeling that if he gets married, his wife and the children may not be friends thereby making the children suffer.

Op please don't sell any of the properties.

If this guy is sincere to himself, he would have try selling that kia car added it to whatever he might have saved before he was sacked and whatsoever God forsaken business he want instead he want to sell a building that if he manage well , no matter the delay in payment of the rent/let his aunt kids won't lack anything even himself too.
