Agreed. modified But why do you expect FIFA to help us? Now this is what I'm talking about when I said we should not expect handouts. These boys are considered adults when they make their decision. charlesemeka85: |

CAF really needs to approach fifa to find a lasting solution to this nonsense. This kids were born and groomed in Europe doesn't mean that they must be cajoured to dump the country of their parents when it's obvious they won't have a long and fullfilling career with the national teams of their country of birth. FIFA have to make changes to the change of allegiance process by allowing this kids to change allegiance to the country of their parents with ease even when they have featured for the Europeans at the u21 level. Also a player must acquire up to 10 caps subsequently in the national team of their choice before they will be tied for life to that country and their club management must not interfere in their decisions. If traore is cap tied now by the Spaniards and Rodrigo returns tomorrow what becomes of the former? Joebie: |

I don't think think it will happen. Rather UEFA may have their way to getting us to pay them taxes... These boys are not minors when they make their decisions to represent one country. charlesemeka85: |

All I am saying is allow the kids to weigh their options and choose what's best for them rather than using and dumping them. The final decision is made by the kids and their advisers but the European FAs do alot of underground work behind the scene to convince this kids of which their club managements re involved as well. I could remember when eze was called up to the English u20 side he was granted an interview and he said he wants to represent Nigeria in international football which surfaced in qpr's official site but was taken down immediately. I saw it myself and no be hear say The next day Eze accepted the English call up. Joebie: |

if he were 23 and a Nigerian won't you say he is promising? So Spain should not tie him down? To help Mali? They don't have an obligation to help Mali with a player that has grown through their ranks. Oga this world is never fair. If u no compete u go lose out. andrewbaba44: |

He grew through their ranks but currently is he good enough for them? Why the sudden call up now that the Mali fa have stated discussion with him and the outcome looks positive? Is traore better than uncapped Spanish young stars scattered in laliga and other top leagues in Europe? Joebie: |

Some of these boys want to play for us during their younger years. But we are not serious about anything. Not serious at developing our football and not alert when the opportunity is open to capture some fine talents. There is not need for the complaining and blaming of players. Anyway I'm glad we were lucky to get Aribo. I will rather have Aribo than Eze. Hopefully we get Ejaria as well. charlesemeka85: 2 Likes |

charlesemeka85: What is with all this attack of my person? Is it because I said who history epp? If you don't agree with my post, that is fine, but all these personal attacks are highly unnecessary Ova You are pumping your chest with pride because you supposedly sabi history of foreign football, but what do you know of your local football? You are learning another man'a history with pride, you sabi their history pass them? In everything you said, you did not answer, what if their dark days last thirty years? Why should Ndidi go to those clubs and not to the other clubs like City and Liverpool? Or is he only good for clubs that have history and no clear future? I repeat, who history epp? Do you know how many good players Liverpool bought in all those their years of drought and nothing came of it? Since Maguire ditched Leicester like you claim, has it elevated United? You wey sabi the business of football, I hope you are at the helm of affairs in these clubs. Ndidi should sit down in Leicester and work with them, not run to United because of a few extra coins or a history of shady calls and referee bias. Football is not by big name, job satisfaction is also a thing, and I can't imagine anyone being satisfied in that United team for now. As long as Ole is at the wheel, I repeat, Ndidi has no business in Manchester United. I know some people are always stuck in the past and enjoy past glory more than the present. charlesemeka85: You overrare CAF CAF has no powers in FIFA. CAF is small fry, nobody listens to small fry, if dem talk finish, dem go dey go house and nothing will happen. All national FA's should help themselves and stop waiting for FIFA to baby them. If you cannot do grunt work to get the player, then find another one. It's only Africans that always want someone to step in for them or intercede in one way or another. Get your shit together and stop looking for special treatment 2 Likes |

charlesemeka85:I don't support the view that we should invite them when they are yet to hit stardom. Are you trying to tell me we ain't good enough for them when they are doing well? We need to set a boundary.. Enough is enough. Naija nor be dumping ground for "foreign born wey nor dey do well". We deserve the best and if they don't wanna play for us when they are at their best, they should go ahead and do whatever they like but they should never dare to look at us when they are at their worse. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

This attitude of "we need to get this foreign born players" should stop joor. It is starting to piss me off honestly. There was no single foreign born player in our 1994 squad and we did remarkably well to the extent we were the 5 best football team in the world. Abeg make una bone this foreign born players especially the one wey wan use our head get attention. Imagine adarabioyo trying so hard to get our attention and the moment we flirt back, he go use am as opportunity to get England attention. |

kellycute:At this time, the Nigerian league was doing well, we could source for talents in-house. It is not the same scenario today, the league has gone to the dogs, you can't find talents in the leagues. Even more, the whole workd seems to have left Nigeria in 1994. We have done nothing to build on that success, rather, the local coaches glorify mediocrity and sacrifice true talent for a few extra kobos. It is not because we do not have local talent that are just as good, or even better than the foreign borns, but the rotten corruption stiinking up everywhere, means, we can only look outside to help ourselves. 3 Likes |
