the question was answered in the second paragraph, but since it is not the answer you're looking for, you think I haven't answered.

Do your own list and remove Okoye if you wish, the guy posted his personal opinion and owes you no explanation or defence.

Please its not by force to respond to a comment if you don't understand it or have answers to it.

Your answer is not valid for that straight question.

Let me ask you again

Is it based on stats or performance?

Yes. Stats and performance in the Super Eagles, obviously.

You mean the 45mins in a friendly match?
How many saves?

Help us with the stats

You obviously can't point to any stats out there.

For Akpeyi to come back to bench both Ezenwa and Okoye says alot about the so called "better "

No sentiment here!

What makes Okoye better?

Performance or what yardstick did you use?

Yes it is not all about who is better or not but for the fact that He has been at the Super Eagles before ABUBAKAR should he eventually get called up after NIGERIA might have put up a superlative performance in Tokyo 2020 Olympics paradventure NIGERIA qualify later on this month.

Alampasu, Udoh and co are lesser grade goalkeeping discoveries that couldn't make the cut in their chosen domain yet relative to ABUBAKAR now in U 23

We should also remember that DOSU JOSEPH would have automatically become Eagles number 1 except for his Car accident that proved otherwise.

So ABUBAKAR putting up an outstanding display at the OLYMPICS (Should we qualify) would push him straight into the Eagles set up definitely.

Philip Billing admits he is frustrated by not getting picked for Denmark.

The Bournemouth midfielder was left out of Age Hareide's recent squad despite starting all 12 Premier League games this season.

He told the Daily Echo: "I have to be careful because I made some comments before.

"He (Hareide) picks the squad. He has obviously picked a Championship player in front of me (Brentford's uncapped Christian Norgaard), which if he thinks he is better then that is how it is. But I haven't gone into it too much.

"I have days off now, so I will just enjoy them and chill and wish Denmark all the best."

Meaning you rate Okoye because he has been invited to the SE not because he has been performing day in and out both for SE and Clubside?

He was actually called because he's the most qualified and inform.

Not like he called him without merit.

He does not trust both Ezenwa and Okoye because both haven't really performed and I keep wondering why Ezenwa is being called going to 4 years now.

Ezenwa has not played up to 30 first team football for almost 4 years. No merit whatsoever!
Well, No doubt about it that Akpeyi is the most in form at present, Hence the invitational extention.

Besides, I personally is never comfortable with Ezenwa between the sticks for NIGERIA anytime anyday and OKOYE not yet fully tested at the SE level, I think it not wise to take any risk on a rookie for such an important match like the AFCON QUALIFIERS certainly.

Save for UZOHO though

He answered because he's matured and understands the question perfectly.

Akpeyi is said to be bad for the eagles by alot of people on this thread and most don't want him in the SE again.

Alot also claim the league is not good enough to produce any good GK and that Ezenwa was the face of the NPFL.

Now the same "bad " Akpeyi is coming back to bench those he left behind plus his replacement, does that not ring a ball if you try to be objective in this matter?

Akpeyi didn't have any poor AFCON display except the Mahrez freekick. This assertion is wrong.

From the 24 countries GK, he was one of the performing GKs and listed among first 5 top gks.

Just starting facts
I want to definitely disagree with you on this that Akpeyi had a good outing in Egypt ooo.

The reason we failed to make the finals was because of Akpeyi as we would have Won the tournament without any defeat actually and I always wondered why UZOHO wasn't used for the AFCON absolutely.

He gave the same answer I did.

When Uzoho comes back, he will send Akpeyi back into exile. All these ones you're saying is just English.

Pray Akpeyi does not do what Akpeyi does in Nigeria.

Your question was unnecessary, because the opinion was for a future time, using the present to gauge. It is from a place of malice, something rabblerousers are adept at

Very simple way to go about it

How many games did Akpeyi play
How many goals scored
how many saves

par the Mahrez freekick which would not have even entered if a careless foul was not committed, how many goal bound error did he commit?

I don't discard people based on sentiments, rather on their dos and not.

You can't use that positioning error to cancel other performance in the same tournament. Not done that way.

Uzoho played 3rd match
Also played in the worldcup as 1st choice

Ezenwa conceded 2 goals in the 3rd group match

All 3 GKs played in AFCON

Par the error, Akpeyi performed in every other game at the AFCON.
Uzoho did well in the 3rd placed match

If this had happened in the super Eagles, you'll see sermons and epistles cursing Rohr for being corrupt and a bribe taker. The NFF will be accused of dishonest and lack of integrity go keeping him waiting after inviting his earlier.

What actually did it for OKOYE is the dart of good Goalkeepers over the years for NIGERIA since the retirement of Ike Shorunmu and the subsequent phasing out of ENYAMA VINCENT.

So, With him promising, there was the need to cap him immediately as the SE is the only level that can cage him for NIGERIA for life going by the fact that both Akpeyi and Ezenwa are already over 30 while being average always

has Abubakar done well in two matches for Super Eagles? You have condemned Okoye for whatever reason and you are calling yourself objective. How many goals did Brazil score in the 45 minutes Okoye was at the post?

Some people will never like certain players for one reason or the other, and that's fine, just talk it with your chest and stop hiding behind a false sense of objectivity to discredit him.

Exclusive – Super Eagles Lineup Against Benin Republic, Osimhen, Kalu, Chukwueze Lead Attack
The coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has revealed the starting lineup for the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their game against Benin Republic later today in the race to be at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Rohr has decided to stick with almost same set of players he used to prosecute the last two friendly games against Ukraine and Brazil respectively. Both games ended in a draw with the Eagles throwing a two goal lead to draw 2-2 against Ukraine and also losing their lead in the 1-1 draw against Brazil. Despite the results, Rohr saw enough in the game and has decided to stick with the players who prosecuted both games but he made some changes particularly in his defence where Ola Aina comes in at right back in place of Chidozie Awaziem who played the role against Brazil. In goal as widely expected Daniel Akpeyi starts in the absence of Francis Uzoho with the duo of Maduka Okoye and Ikechukwu Ezenwa as back up goalkeepers. The central defence partnership of Semi Ajayi and William Troost-Ekong was maintained by the coach despite the return of Kenneth Omeruo.
Jamilu Collins retains his spot as left full back while the midfield is the same as the one that prosecuted the last game against Brazil meaning the trio of Wilfred Ndidi, Joe Aribo and Alex Iwobi will play in the middle. Ndidi will play as the defensive midfielder while Aribo will operate as the central midfielder with Iwobi positioned behind the main striker which is Victor Osimhen. Osimhen is flanked by Samuel Chukwueze and Samuel Kalu. Chukwueze will play from the right while Kalu will operate fromthe left like he did to devastating effect against Ukraine. Rohr maintained the trio in attack despite the return of captain of the team Ahmed Musa. Lineup Daniel Akpeyi Ola Aina Jamilu Collins William Troost-Ekong Semi Ajayi Wilfred Ndidi Joe Aribo Alex Iwobi Samuel Chukwueze Samuel Kalu Victor Osimhen
