Kenya is not a paradise that you want to portray. Kenya is a very corrupt country. How much electricity do you produce? Stop talking crap.

rvp2018:
When is IMF bailout team landing in Nairobi from Accra smiley
And fail to honor an international contract has very serious implication - don't do it.
IMF will be back in Ghana soon....CEDIS is not getting any better.

I think Kenya does a better job in social spending and investment than Ghana. Your grandmother if she was in kenya get paid and health insured.

I think only thing you got going for you is minning and oil sector.

But we know from Nigeria - that can as well turn out to be an albatross on your economy.

We rather import machineries than chinese finished goods or re-badged goods. We use the machine for what you can call import-substitution.
grin grin grin if you use the machinery for import substitution then your imports should go down in the short run
and export should increase.

but that is not the case.

And you think Chinese are stupid smiley Chinese insist on Take or Pay and add collateral on top. So you will not only sign a similar contract but also commit your oil or aluminum.
Just30:
the US government helped in creating a ponzi company that wanted to steal a company of Ghana worth more than 3 billion dollars without any financial backing.
The Ghanaian government found out and cancel the contract in the interest of Ghana.

The US can keep it money, Ghana is creditworthy to borrow from China to help expand the capacity of ECG.
Infact, a simply listing of ECG on the Ghana stock exchange will solve the problem the company has.

ponzi pyramid scheme
That is worse than a pyramid scheme. In a pyramid scheme,a guy who took people's money will vanish in a thin air once he notice the scheme is no more sustainable
But for a nation like Kenya to do such a thing is very terrible. The lenders will want their monies,if not paid, they will recolonize the whole nation. There is no way a nation will try to run away from those lenders

The Ethiopia,Kenya,Tanzania line should be extended all the way to the South then!

Soon folks will be begging to sell us electricity at absolutely throw away prices in spite of us having excess of below 1000MW,which is better!
rvp2018:
Yes Uganda are adding 600MW in Karuma dam. Ethiopia are also hoping to sell us 400M. We already have 1000MW and more excess coming. Tanzania the laggards are adding 2100MW when they can hardly consume 1,000MW.

Meanwhile Nigeria and South Africa have such a deficit one wishes we can all export to them.

Debt refinancing refers to initiating a new contract, often at better terms than a previous one, to pay off a loan. Fundamentally, both refinancing and restructuring are debt reorganization processes taken to strengthen a person or a company’s financial outlook. Debt refinancing is used on a much broader basis than restructuring, in which a borrower leverages a newly obtained loan with better terms to pay off a previous loan.

In debt refinancing, a borrower applies for a new loan or debt instrument that has better terms than a previous contract and can be used to pay down the previous obligation. An example of a refinancing would be applying for a new, cheaper loan and using the proceeds from that loan to pay off the liabilities from an existing loan.

Refinancing is used more liberally than restructuring because it is a quicker process, easier to qualify for, and impacts credit score positively since the payment history will reflect the original loan being paid off.

every loan must be paid back
one person wants to own your property so that they can make it efficient and take the profit.

the other person does not care as long as you'll repay the loan.

the third option is to list the company for every Ghanaian to own a share.

So far, Ghana has not signed any oil or alumina for money contract.

You guys has no efficient health insurance scheme. come to Ghana and see what is called health insurance subsidy which even cover as far as brain surgery not that kind of ponsi in ruwanda ...

Ghana macroeconomic situation remains favourable at a growth rate of 7 percent

Inflation is now at 7.6 % and if you look at the trend over the past 15 months or so it's not expected to rise...

You surprise me.You are the one who asked for gov hospitals and offices etc. I posted head office of ports authority in Tz,u were shocked. You then decided to say skyscrapers are not human development! Why did u ask for gov offices?
Anyway, let me help u.Let digest Tanzania's ports authority headquarters in Dar es salaam.
They built the tower to host authority offices and the rest of space is rented out. In this tower, there is conference hall which is used by anyone who pays, there are other office spaces rented by clearing and forwarding agents, even a normal guy like u can rent an office there. So,the authority is making a profit while at same time they have a very posh offices to use.No other port in Africa has such posh offices. The Kenyans in Mombasa want to do similar project. They are copying us.
So,a skyscraper like this brings money! The railway too brings money. In Tz,a skyscraper can do a return on investment for about 8 to 10 years. Our port authority did what we call innovative thinking!.Other Africans are welcome to imitate that.

we are not copying you it has become a necessity that we build a office complex for KPA
because mombasa port is always expanding and lamu port is also comimg up

Thing with Ghana is their country doesnt look sophisticated but they actually are by most parameters. Would be wrong to judge Ghana by her pictures. Their citizens do enjoy a good quality of life than most africans
