The system of highest vote number gives room for the inflation of votes by a particular region making them speak down on another region of the same country.
We Nigeria change her system of electing a president to USA kind of system, most of this region that think they can elect president alone without consulting another region will come to the planning board and agree in the term in another region in electing a president.
Imagine if they allot electoral vote to every region like:
South East 70 electoral vote to be shared among the five SE states.
70 to be shared among 6 SS states.
70 for the 6 SW state ( i put it hundred because Lagos is made up of several tribes from all the region of the country)
Middle belt(NC) 70 because of Abuja
70 for NE
70 for NW.
These sum up to 420 electoral college votes and a presidential candidate will need a total of 215 to win the presidency.
If this system is put in place, i believe most of the issues of born to rule or marginalization will b addressed.
