4. Because they wouldn’t want to ‘waste’ their CAS, they will make sure they interview you, to gauge your likelihood of getting a tier-4 Student visa.
5. The pre-CAS interview will therefore be a ‘box-ticking exercise. This, they will do by asking you questions around:
-Genuineness as a student
-Financial standing

I don’t think you should be scared. Just be sure you are a genuine student, you know your thing and you can prove that you got the ££££

If I were you, I would leave the money INTACT and not touch 1 single kobo, until I pick up my Passport, with the Entry clearance vignette.

Put in your maintenance fee now. It has nothing to do with date on your CAS
Your statement could be 28days and your CAS just gotten today.
Let the money start counting so it won't delay you.

Can I put the MAINTENANCE fee in my account to start counting. And pay my tuition fees before 28days ends?

I think I am in a similar condition. I got a conditional admission also I need to do a Skype interview to get the actual letter. I also need to find my account and start counting 28days. I hope the visa comes out before January

I applied to up to 3-universities and got Conditional Offers.
Some is still waiting for my Transcripts which my previous University delayed due to HIGH demand they said.
I told the UK universities that the Transcripts would b available before REGISTRATION in UK
Therefore requested for Unconditional offer to enable me proceed for Payments .
But at the same time want to fund the appropriate ACCOUNT counting the 28days before Transcripts and Unconditional offer Ready.
I wish my visa is out b4 January. By Gods Grace.

Apply for a tier 4 dependent visa and not a tier 4 visa.

Yes, you will need an adoption certificate stating u and your wife. Gud luck

Your wife cannot "adopt" your daughter even if your daughter's mother is no longer living - you are your daughter's parent.

What you should be looking at is this: obtaining consent from your daughter's mother if she is still living and you do not have court-ordered definitive sole custody of your minor child.

Interview if called. Is the visa interview not compulsory?

Bro your wife can not adopt your own daughter that lives with you and your wife and bears your own name. So after the adoption her last name will be what? Your wife's name?

If you married a single mother who has won the sole custody of the child from her previous marriage then you can adopt that child

No it doesn't rather it makes it look more like child trafficking plot.

The law is clear - your wife cannot adopt your daughter. Adoption involves the surrender of parental rights by biological parents in favour of another set of parents, the adoptive parents.

Even though you can probably obtain an adoption certificate in Nigeria because anything goes here, once you present recent adoption papers at the embassy, you'll definitely raise a red flag, you must know that.

Best to follow the advice given here.

Include in your application strong evidence that the child's mother is deceased and you are her sole parent now and that the child has been living with you and your current wife ever since you got married and hence you three (and any other children of the marriage, if any) now form a family unit. There is a concept of "derivative rights" concerning residence rights which can apply analogously if you make the case and substantiate the circumstances.

Guy, there is something called blended family. There are times when circumstances makes one your family, your case is an example. There is no adoption paper work needed for that instead you show with good evidence that she's a step daughter to your wife since she is your daughter from an earlier marriage. Her birth certificate should bear your name and your deceased wife already as the parents, and show the death certificate of the mother, then show your marriage certificate to your new wife to the embassy. That will do.

Successful applicants on this route will be able to stay and work, or look for work, in the UK at any skill level for a maximum period of two years. Graduates will be able to switch into skilled work once they have found a suitable job.
The new route will be launched in the summer of 2021, meaning that any eligible student who graduates in the summer of 2021 or after will be able to apply for the route. This includes students who have already started their courses. Universities will also be able attract students starting in the 2020/21 academic year on the basis that they will benefit.
The launch of the route demonstrates the government’s support for our education sector, and commitment to the International Education Strategy, which sets out our ambition to increase education exports to £35 billion and the number of international higher education students to 600,000 by 2030.

It will include the payment of a visa fee and the Immigration Health Surcharge. The exact fee will be set out in due course.
