Besides, let's thank God for early detection. The opening of the cervix has a solution which the Dr. has suggested as the next action plan(cerclage). This will prevent the cervix from opening until it is removed around your edd. Thus, keeping your LO safe from infections and miscarriage.
Please inform your hubby about it asap in a calm tone. It is important that you do the needful soon. You could also seek a second opinion from another qualified doctor.
Again, don't lose hope. Commit this development to God in prayer and He will perfect the good work that He has started in Jesus' name.

Thank you very much ma'am. I don't have a history of cervical incompetence atleast not to my knowledge. The Dr said I have a long cervix but he said the issue would have been as a result of infection. I'm getting better though. Thanks

Cerclage is preventive so please I'd advise you do it as soon as possible.
Do you have a history of cervical incompetence?
Try to get the cerclage done, it's a simple procedure and will be removed by the 38th week or so.
Don't worry, your baby will be fine.

Sorry about the itching teamie, different things one see in pregnancy. Mine is hips pain, doctor is like it's too early to experience it but didn't give any solution. Bearing the pain now.

I was told at antenatal to start cleaning henceforth with soap and then rub vaseline after cleaning. The essence of rubbing vaseline is to enable easy cleaning the next time you want to clean( next morning or evening as the case maybe). And to always pull the nipple out so it doesn't go flat when its time to breast feed. Am 8weeks and some days.

Where you told personally or generally?Reasons is that cleaning the nipples with olive oil and massaging at later stage of pregnancy can cause contraction for some people. It also makes the nipples leak milk.
That's why it's advisable to start when you're close to delivery.

Washing with soap does not necessarily make the nipples clear of those thick protection. I also wash with soap

It's always advisable to sleep on your left side for proper blood circulation and comfort. At early stage if you sleep like me, when you sleep on your left side, you'll meet yourself face down or laying on your back.
Later in pregnancy, it won't be comfortable for you to lie on your back because you will feel like fainting immediately.

It's best to start practicing sleeping on your left side, so as to get used to it before your bump becomes big.

Hello beautiful mamas, good evening. I hope you're all waddling well.

I just got back from the hospital this afternoon. I did the cerclage on Monday and I'm recuperating gradually. I'll leave the details for some other time.

I just can't seem to get the fear out of my mind. I'm always worried something might happen. I feel the pain more in my heart than in my body. The devil is really trying to steal my joy, but Jesus got me.

Please anybody that has gone through this experience should contact me so I can know how they pulled through.

Just take your mind off it you can do so by occupying yourself with other things, I was discharged same day I did mine and I kept on wiping after every toilet use checking for blood but nothing came out. Your baby will make it to term by Gods grace.

I bought this flask today, the woman gave me assurance that is a nice one and told me to put hot water this night till tomorrow morning, I did it and tried closing the flask but is not covering well.
