Malindi Town,Kenya

A beautiful town by the beach.I currently leave 5 kilometres from here.

Scouting for a beach plot in Tanga because it's cheaper there than in Malindi or Diani,I hope Kazikazi will take me through Tanga! grin

It's only a three hour drive from Mombasa to Tanga!

The opposition in Tz is just dumb. For ages, they keep repeating same stuff expecting different results. You can't compete with CCM with a current constitution. Opposition parties need to cry for a new constitution than mourning when mistreated on each polls.Otherwise, they should accept defeat and join Ccm and form a one party system

Opposition in Tanzania is not dumb, Tanzanians are just yet to wake up. Most Tanzanians worship CCM. Tanzania reminds me of Kenya in 1990s. We all used to say opposition in Kenya was dumb then yet today, we wish we had given opposition leaders of that time a chance.

Econmic wise, census are conducted every 10 years . You just don't wake up and started counting the population every month's as if it is necessary, if that is the way your money is wasted then your goverment have a problem . Ghana had it a last census in 2010. go CHECK your the internet...

we are doing digital census next year. it is going to cost the nation over 40 million dollars .
UN recommend 5yrs but only developed world can afford that

In Zambia,we have seen opposition winning,in Malawi too.But no real development happened. Not all opposition parties are good and smart. Don't even think Tanzanians are asleep.if it was just about being asleep, they should just wake them up! Isn't that simple?
But alas, the real problem is the same opposition! Stomach politics.Dumbness. In short, the opposition have underrated the intelligence of most Tanzanians

Folks have talked of Kenya's debt here many at times, little did I know that people take Eurobonds not for development but for cpnsumption at nearly 10% price points.

Bolgatanga Central Member of Parliament, Isaac Adongo has revealed that Ghana borrows $10.6 billion yearly to pay for the consumption of goods and services.

According to Mr. Adongo, it is a worrying thing that should be addressed else the Akufo-Addo-led government will plunge the country into doom leaving huge debts behind for the future generation.

Speaking on the floor of Parliament on Thursday after the Finance Minister addressed legislators on the depreciation of the cedi and the Eurobond, the Bolga Central MP said government shouldn’t have gone for the Eurobond in the first place because it is a complete waste of time since it’s not utilised well.

The NDC MP explained that it is appalling to know the current government only borrows to pay for goods and services.

“What is worrying is the fact that there’s nothing now left to pay for goods and services and we go to borrow to pay for goods and services. So if we take goods and services together, you take the difference in wages and salaries, we are borrowing 10.6 billion every year to pay for our consumption...We are leaving a debt for our children without an asset and you’re still celebrating it,” he quizzed.

“It is so serious that if we look at the utilisation of the last two Eurobonds, it is better we didn’t go to the Eurobond in 2017 because if this is what we are going to be doing then this country is doomed...You go to the capital market to borrow and spend on consumption. 630 million of our Eurobond of 750 million was spent on consumption and the Minister of Finance should be worried,” he warned.

https://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/business/Ghana-borrows-10-6bn-to-pay-for-consumption-Adongo-734101

you don't quote an opposition member of parliament whose sole objective is to make the government of the day highly unpopular when next year is an election year, besides,he Adongo has been called out severally from his lies and has no credential or moral authority to spew out such propaganda message during discussions on the floor of parliament.

Take his statement with no single iota of truth cos he was part of a government who was recently voted out due to our 2015 energy crisis and a stock pile of corruption allegations in 2016.Why do you think he began his statement from 2017 and not before 2017 when he was in government. Don't you smell the mischief in his deceitful accusations.

Next time when you quote someone from Ghana, at least quote any of our several independent economic experts or numerous economic policy think tanks which is rated the best in the continent .They speak constructively not in a propaganda tone.

Do you know how shaking the opposition party got when 2 billion dollars was budgeted just for roads construction declaring next year as Year of roads.Do you know how uncomfortable the opposition feels when this free national education policies from Nursery to Senior High schools is 100% free both day and boarding, when health us free nationwide, when the agricultural industry is highly subsidized and farmers recording over production and planting for jobs and exports.

Don't let me fish for dooming words Kenyan opposition party members spells on the perceived gloomy future of Kenya.Tell me the specifics that this opposition mp said which should be taken as facts other than pure propaganda.

You said, vodacom had a promotion. Then the t shirt which a guy wearing was used in Tz promo. So u believe a pic is of a communist in one of Tz street.

Here is the issue..
What about if a Tz guy visited kibera, and upon seeing poverty he gave his t shirt to kiberans? Or may be a communist went to Mombasa, then he gave a T-shirt to fellows of Bangladeshi slum?
