Charles Idahosa, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state has said the only solution to the political crisis in the state for the national chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to leave Governor Godwin Obaseki alone and allow him to govern the state without undue interference.

Speaking in an interview with Daily Independent, Idahosa, who was a former political adviser to Oshiomhole said it is unfortunate that the national chairman is gambling with the only state APC has in the South-South.

“Oshiomhole must make a retreat and let the governor rule for eight years. I have said these times and numbers again. Just look at what happened here. People are picked up in the night taken to the house of the Secretary and you are forcing them to sign”.

“Let the former Secretary show us a video clip where they had a meeting and decision was taken to suspend the state chairman. No such meeting ever took place”.

“For a national chairman to be involved in this kind of wrangling his home state is very strange. We are talking about the only APC state in the South- South and we are gambling with it. Look at Bayelsa now, we don’t have a candidate.
“That is the implication of the judgment which disqualified the running mate of the APC governorship candidate and it is a joint ticket,” he said.
