Hello guys, so I got my unconditional offer last week Wednesday but I haven't made the payment yet I plan on paying everything next week Wednesday. However I have my maintenance deposited 2weeks ago, am I on track?

I think the person plans on paying full tuition to the school. So if the person does that and the maintenance fee has been in the account for two weeks. By the beginning of December the person should be able to apply. Because the money would have reached 28 days.

To the best of my knowledge Abuja is faster. Because of ots proximity to Where descision on visa is taken. But now, here is what happens when its peak period. Most people want Abuja because its faster, hence avoid lagos since everything is moved to Abuja for processing. The traffic is reduced in TLC office lagos and Abuja becomes chocked up. And getting update on ur application becomes complicated, while people who did theirs in lagos have less hassles than you predicted. I stay around the Abuja visa application center and do assist frnds check for updates. The crowd during peak period is not beans. Everyone is running from lagos meanwhile irony is the case. So i wld advice people to balance the process. Both have their Merits and Demerits. Hence Apply in Lagos or Abuja but apply early! Less Hassle! Happy You!

All the gurus in the house, can you please confirm this because am also in the same situation. Have had my maintenance and the balance of my tuition in my account since the 30th of last month but because of a decision am expecting from a phd program. I decided to postpone my tuition deposit till next week.

Will that have any effect on when my maintenance and the tuition balance start counting in my account. Considering the fact that the money has been in the account since 30th of last month.

I will be using another account to transfer the initial deposit so it doesn't affect the maintenance and tuition balance in the other account.

Please I need response on this.

I dont think this is right.

I might be wrong but based on this thread and other info, I really think you're wrong that it's the day you pay school fees that you can start counting your 28 days.

Let's say your fees is 10k + 10k maintainance (Its 9135, I decided to round it up). Which means you need 20k and you already have 15k in your account for counting 28 days. And you pay the 5k balance to your school after you start counting. As long as the 5k you pay isn't deducted from the 15k in your account. It's the day you paid the 15k to your account that you start counting from. Not the day you paid the school.

In my own case the money for maintenance and the balance for the tuition is 9300+4,300k. Which is already saved in a separate account since on the 30th of October(last month)

Initial deposit of 5,000k will be paid next week from a separate account.

Do you mean the 28days will start counting from the day I make the payment of the initial deposit or when I have the maintenance and balance of the tuition fees ?

We need more contributions from the gurus in the house.

Everyone I know that used Abuja in Sept/Oct "the peak of the peak" got decision in exact days specified by UKVI, same for Lagos.
How is Abuja close to where decision is taken? Your visa decision does not happen in Abuja.

Do your application on time then you won't need value added service.
Lagos or Abuja , your decision comes from same place.
The only thing I can say Is Abuja TLS staffs are more friendly, you can check if your passport is ready 10 times without complaints.
