I think sentiment has entered so many to talk rubbish

To say that our football is better managed by northerners or Rohr made Pinnick who he is?

Pinnick himself said it was a gamble. I never implied it was a bad gamble either. But make we look the matter closely. Can u reel out his coaching achievements?

charlesemeka85:
Gamble how? Do u knw Pinnick consulted ex arsenal coach who recommended Rohr to him?

Rohr then had a good job in the German fa so if he is as bad as your likes portray him he won't have working with the German fa when the super eagles job was offered to him.

Exactly, the likes of Kingsley Michael, who is getting games was ignored for a poor Nwakali. Nwakali has not played in a year but they must invite him. If we get a local coach, clubless players like Ogu will still get call ups.

But we can't blame him for he is a journalist and has to air his opinion.

I personally dislike Players using NIGERIA to play Ludo whenever they are being approach too

It often irritate me that they never learn lessons from DELE ALI, GABRIEL AGBOLAHOR, JOHN FASHANU, CARLTON COLE, UGO EHIOGU, ROSE BARKLEY (though still playing) etc Who never played enough before being dumped

grin

First of all Barkley, Dele, are still very much in the England set up.

Carlton, Ehiogu, Fashanu, Agbolahor, came in at a time when there were far better players. It's very simple they were not good enough. England will not select players who are not perfoming at club level. As we are inclined to do.

Putting your view in its proper context can you tell me what lessons they can learn.

On the other hand what lessons can Nigerian origin players learn from the way the outstanding Sone Aluko was treated and as well as Hope Akpan after injured his shoulder on national duty for the SE.

The guys were summarily dismissed from the SE without explanation.

Please don't act like the SE is all about equity and fair play and everything is above board.

One thing you don't have in the English FA is blatant open season corruption for places.

So it's a question of which poison you prefer the racism of England FA or the corruption, nepotism and alleged tribalism of the NFF.

It's it not so black and white open or close unless you want to be hypocritical bigot.

Never watch anything because both of my Networks messed up yet again today such that I couldn't access nothing until now.

It's a pity that we shall be missing in the OLYMPICS soccer party finally.

Certainly, Today marks the end from the beginning for most of this Nigerian Players including those eligible that weren't invited.

Except for those that have already made the cut in the SUPER EAGLES.

I mean, why didn't they play their hearts out as if they wanna die on the pitch?

knowing fully well that it's about their personal glory first before credit would go to the coach?

Football is all about intelligence ooo. I Q. fast thinking in relation to the steps to be taken at every given opportunity within seconds and split second.

Does that mean all of them have no reasoning ability to just get a single goal all 90 minutes?

I rest my case.

oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh.

If say na local coach carry the team go the last afcon mikel for play all the matches,

onazi before he got injured would have played every minute at the last world cup,

chukwueze and oshimeh would have been tagged too young to play at the afcon and should be dropped to the u23 team

Iheanacho would have made the afcon team

Aribo would have been tagged not physical enough for African football

Okechukwu would have been in the super eagles currently

Semi ajayi as of when he was integrated to the team wouldnt have gotten the chance with excuses that he plays for championship relegation bound Rotherham.

Nwakali's goal against an experimental ATLETICO Madrid team in uyo would have made way for him in the world cup team

The loss of the U-23 today shows that both indigenous coach and player are all scams first was Aigboogun now imama... Both of them are scam i think ikpaba should replace imama and Aigboogun by Emanalo

UNLUCKY?

You would have to have a decent team, before you can blame ill luck for such a failure.

This was a more than decent team. If not for a penalty that I still don't believe crossed the line we would be in the next round.

According to information from CIES Football Observatory, Norway is the most preferred destination for Nigerian footballers.

Of the 327 expatriate Nigerian footballers in 65 associations out of 98, 24 ply their trade in the Norwegian Leagues.

Samuel Adegbenro, Babajide David (both Rosenborg), Jack Ipalibo (Strømsgodset), Akeem Latifu (Mjøndalen), Ifeanyi Matthew (Lillestrom), Leke James (Molde), Igho Ogbu (Sogndal) and Afeez Aremu are some of the Nigerian professional footballers that played for Norwegian clubs in 2019.

Nigeria national-teamers Fegor Ogude, Anthony Ujah and Nosa Igiebor plus former Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel began their careers abroad with Norwegian clubs before transferring to bigger clubs in Europe.

Surprisingly, Nigerian players fancy playing in Bangladesh and the South Asian country is the second-joint importer of Nigerian players along with Scandinavian country Sweden (16).

At least fourteen Nigerian players are on the books of Portuguese clubs including Super Eagles stars Mikel Agu, Nwankwo Obiorah, Tyronne Ebuehi, and Uche Agbo.

Turkey and Latvia are joint-fifth on the list of Nigerian expatriate footballers, with thirteen Nigerian players each playing in the countries.

I am not a fan of Portuguese football in my personal experience it's VERY CORRUPT.

And youth players are treated like cattle to be sold.

The Dream Team crashed out of the U23 AFCON after posting a goalless draw with South Africa on Friday.

Allnigeriasoccer.com runs the rule over the players in action thus,

The Starters

Goalkeeper

Adamu Abubakar: Made a spectacular save to deny Kamohelo Mahlatsi in the first half and looked very composed in between the sticks. (7/10)

Defenders

Valentine Ozonwafor: Defended doggedly and left little to be desired of his exploits. Picked up an early booking for a foul, however. (6/10)

Anthony Izuchukwu: Was impressive in his aerial battles and matched Siyabonga Ngezana admirably for pace. (5/10)

Bitok Stephen: Went on a few unsuccessful forays and kept his discipline in a tough game. (5/10)

Seth Sincere: Started well with some incisive attacking moves in the first half but soon fizzled out as time wore on. (5/10)

Midfielders

Azubuike Okechukwu: Ventured forward very little today and concentrated mostly on keeping the spirited opponents at bay. (6/10)

Kelechi Nwakali: Tried to do a lot more than he could pull off though he showed his quality in patches. Saw yellow for a bad foul. (5/10)

Ndifreke Udo: Worked Darren Johnson with a good effort in the first half and was adept at combining with the attackers. (5/10)

Attackers

Orji Okonkwo: Okonkwo noticeably dropped deep much in the game which left the team short of some much needed attacking verve. Kept his movements simple. (4/10)

Ibrahim Sunusi: Culpable of a big miss in the first half and wasn't an impressive presence upfront. (3/10)

Taiwo Awoniyi: The brighter of the attackers on the night. Tried the much he could but very little came off. (5/10)

The Substitutes

Sunday Faleye: Fluffed a very big chance in the closing moments and didn't really look spectacular after his introduction. (3/10)

Bright Enobahkare: Shorn of meaningful service after coming on and could do little to pick apart the retreating opponents. (3/10)

Tom Dele-Bashiru: Nothing of note from the Watford youngster following his introduction. (2/10)
