Valentine Ozonwafor: Defended doggedly and left little to be desired of his exploits. Picked up an early booking for a foul, however. (6/10)

Anthony Izuchukwu: Was impressive in his aerial battles and matched Siyabonga Ngezana admirably for pace. (5/10)

Bitok Stephen: Went on a few unsuccessful forays and kept his discipline in a tough game. (5/10)

Seth Sincere: Started well with some incisive attacking moves in the first half but soon fizzled out as time wore on. (5/10)

Midfielders

Azubuike Okechukwu: Ventured forward very little today and concentrated mostly on keeping the spirited opponents at bay. (6/10)

Kelechi Nwakali: Tried to do a lot more than he could pull off though he showed his quality in patches. Saw yellow for a bad foul. (5/10)

Ndifreke Udo: Worked Darren Johnson with a good effort in the first half and was adept at combining with the attackers. (5/10)

Orji Okonkwo: Okonkwo noticeably dropped deep much in the game which left the team short of some much needed attacking verve. Kept his movements simple. (4/10)

Ibrahim Sunusi: Culpable of a big miss in the first half and wasn't an impressive presence upfront. (3/10)

Taiwo Awoniyi: The brighter of the attackers on the night. Tried the much he could but very little came off. (5/10)

Sunday Faleye: Fluffed a very big chance in the closing moments and didn't really look spectacular after his introduction. (3/10)

Bright Enobahkare: Shorn of meaningful service after coming on and could do little to pick apart the retreating opponents. (3/10)
