I repeat Charles. I repeat because you always have a hard time understanding a discourse especially when Nwakali or Zubby are involved. grin

I do not compare them (Nacho is way ahead of Henry and Henry is way ahead of Nwakali) but speak on what each of them face now and what they each need to do to better their situation. Is it now you that wants to tell me about Nacho this season? Funny.

Just kill off or try lower your dislike for K.Nwakali and Zubby. It affects your sense of understanding when we discuss both or either players at anytime. Merci. wink

charlesemeka85:
nacho and onyekuru are struggling currently while nwakali is yet to do anything since moving to europe which is close to 4 years now if well calculated.

at least nacho have 2 goals in 2 games this season while onyekuru few times have made monaco's match day squad in ligue 1. to some teams both are known qualities who can still attract decent clubs from top leagues in europe unlike nwakali who is still basking on the euphoria of his exploits at the u17 level 4 years ago.

if monaco and leicester decide to sell nacho and onyekuru today they will get at least 10m each for both unlike nwakali who was released by arsenal cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Are you trying to ignore the fact that an inactive player for the past 10 months was not only invited to the u23 team but was featured on a regular basis and also made the assistant captain?

I have never even liked the continuous inclusion of Ezenwa in the super eagles but his case is different from that of Xavi new mikel Nwakali because he has never manned the goal post for the super eagles since he has been inactive.

Ezenwa has been inactive for years now oga

when last was he a 1st choice in any Clubside?

Josh Maja is no upgrade on Awoniyi.

Alhassan Yusuf- Was available. Imama failed here.

David Okereke- Might not even stay still the 19th.

Ejuke Chidera - Reports say he was stopped by his club.

Kingsley Michael- Another who can come in but won't stay till D-Day.

Igho Ogbu- Not better than Ozornwafor or and maybe on par with or slightly better than Olisa Ndah.

Onyekuru- Was available. Imama failed here too. I am sure Henry would not have minded jumping at the opportunity to help the U-23s knowing Rohr would be monitoring things too.

Zaidu Sanusi- His availability was not gonna be certain till D-Day and not certain he will do better than Bitok Stephen. Jury out on him there.

In all, Imama could have called up a couple more (better) quality players but he failed to do that. In all, "some" of the players (on the 21-man list) were selected based on absolute availability.

Nawa o, why is NFF treating this match with kids gloves? Are we supposed to just turn up and collect 3pts?

So u don't pick keepers again based on how they compete in training. Anything based on sentiments will not augur well.

Kbs468:

No doubt about it that he would have been a straight starter for the U 23 Team that just crashed out and ABUBAKAR wouldn't have been discovered and exposed to all and sundry for recognition and praises

Imama is a horrible coach. I was scarred when he was appointed coach of the Olympic eagles and my fears were confirmed. He is a serial looser and his teams play horrible football.

Rohr is just average but an average student with 55% is better than a student who scores 10%.
Maybe Amunike should have been tried with our youth teams. At least Rohr has built a decent team. Anybody that succeeds Rohr has little work to do. HE has laid A GOOD foundation. The only thing that is needed in the super eagles are a good left back and a good play maker.

By the way Imama should be banned from handling any Nigerian team. It is unfortunate Siasua has problems with fifa but he is good with youth and home based teams. Siasia could have done a better job

Rohr has taken us to 55%. What we need now is a coach that will take us to 85% and above.
What I mean is winning the nations cup 2 or 3 times and getting to tje semi finals of the world cup. Players like chidera ejuke and Alhassan Yusuf should be invited to see what they can offer. We need to take things to the next level.

Awoniyi is a terrible striker at the moment.Maja is a far better player right now. I really mean that.

No one can be stopped by their club in a FIFA window.

Well, I don't know how Heerenven did it but Chidera gave Imama his word initially but was stopped. That's according to reports.

I still think Awoniyi and Maja are of similar level.

Musa helped me select players against Benin –Rohr

punchng.com

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, says captain, Ahmed Musa, advised him on team selection against Benin in their 2021 cup of Nations qualifier on Wednesday.

Rohr at the team’s post-match conference said that the Al Nassr forward sacrificed his spot in the starting line-up to give the younger players a chance. “

“It is wonderful to have a captain like Musa, he told me in the pre-match press conference to start the team that started against Brazil because he thought they did well.

“So we started the same attack like we did against Ukraine but made a little change. He said I should play other that are having good playing time with their clubs because he is just returning from injury.”

Musa says he is willing to help the team in any way he can but the younger players must be given a chance to show what they have.

“I don’t have to play, I wanted the coach to start the same team that played against Brazil because they played very good,” he said.

“You can see the young players are coming up so we have to give them the chance. Maybe Ahmed Musa is not going to be there anymore, we have to start grooming more players. To me the captain armband is not really a big deal; it is the team that matter.”

Of course sentiment doesn't yield any meaningful dividend. And I'm not implying any either

But trust me, The Imama of a coach would not put training display and flair much into consideration since no Goalkeeper would be overwhelmingly horrible as compared to their peers in Camp,

Instead, The supposed SUPER EAGLES experience by OKOYE already would be it as the criteria for the number one spot while also noting that ABUBAKAR is home based as well and that is another 'low' that would count against him in Imama's mind.

I don't think it's necessarily the case though but just an honest admission on the part of MUSA as per the team captain just like it was reported from an article that I did copied and pasted same in here about JOSEPH ARIBO

where ARIBO himself responded in the affirmative that he is really ready to play against BENIN REPUBLIC on Wednesday when ROHR did asked him if he is not Jet lagged having only resumed Camp on Tuesday

And that is one truth about AHMED MUSA - Unselfish attitude and Unpatriotism.

His relinguishing of the Captain's arm band back to MIKEL OBI when he was recalled into the SE fold by ROHR after the initial phasing out of OBI and ENYEAMA by SUNDAY OLISEH easily comes to mind

Unbelievable indeed and as read by all and sundry.

Imagine traveling on Saturday for a 6 hours flight and then another God knows how many hours conveyance it shall be in maseru from the Airport to the hotel and then to the stadium after their rest before training against a Sunday Match?

Claiming that the initial failure to travel on the scheduled Friday previously was due to logistics? what sort of logistics would have warrant that haven known the Match date way way back?

He Has Set The Worst Record In Nigeria’s History” – Knocks For Eagles Coach After Olympics Failure

by Imhons Erons November 16, 2019

Nigeria has failed to qualify for the Summer Olympic Games for just the third time since winning the gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Games and many are not impressed with the man who has overseen the latest setback.

Coach Imama Amapakapo has come under severe attack after the Olympic Eagles failed to make it past the group stages of the U23 AFCON tournament in Egypt.

Nigeria, the defending champions, could only manage a drab draw against South Africa on Friday night, to end up with four points in Group B, opening the door for the Amagluglug to claim second spot behind the Ivory Coast who defeated Zambia in the other group game.

Fans took to Twitter to express their frustration at coach Amapakabo, who had previously recorded similar ugly results with the Flying Eagles and the Home-based Super Eagles (CHAN Eagles).
