Good afternoon all. Please some should help me with schools that accept NECO results.

Hi guys. I just got admission with University of Victoria for an application I did since May. If I start now to apply for Visa, will I meetup with resumption at January? If No, what should I do? Help
You need at least 9weeks. I'll suggest that you differ your admission if they have summer session (May 2020) if not you'll have to defer to September 2020 or notify them you might be resuming late due to you waiting for a decision from CIC.

WAEC is the official O'level certificate recognised outside Nigeria. However you can give colleges a try.

Congratulations on your acceptance. First and foremost defer your admission to the next available term because you have limited/no time to gather supporting documents for your visa application. Secondly, sit and think outside the box the reasons for your planned studies in Canada and why you should return home after studies (SOP).

It shall end in praises.

Sorry to hear your visa was rejected. Permit me to ask you, what is your program start date? I don't think it's reasonable to reapply for January, Winter intake at this time. It's better you defer your acceptance to the next available term. Meanwhile provide answer to my question.
For winter sir, I was thinking since I have all the documents I need to present. I should go ahead and submit my application. That is why I need you to go through my LOE

It's a big risk to reapply at this time for a Winter intake in view of the fact that you didn't undergo an upfront medicals that would help speed up the application process. Well, since you insist on reapplying, you can go ahead with your plans and hope for a positive outcome. However, I won't be available at the moment to review the LOE for you because I'm presently flooded with a great deal of them on my deck.

I strongly apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused you. I wish you the very best in your application.

It shall end in praises.

Recent refusals based on Employment

It is your duty to explain your current employment stance to the VO. They want to understand that you have a viable job in Nigeria that can lure you and also want enough proof to verify that your program in Canada will boost your employability in Nigeria.

Common Mistakes:
1.submitting employment documents showing low remuneration and expecting the VO to believe that will convince you to come back to Nigeria.

2. Showing proof of employment in a company/Organization that cannot be verified. I once did an open source search on the CAC website and found out a particular company used by an applicant still uses an old land line number!!!!

3. VO's do verify social media platforms. So are you using your uncles company as proof of employment and your LinkedIn shows you're working elsewhere

4. Work experience not correlating with previous education program or proposed program in Canada.

5. Not proving why the program in Canada is of any reasonable expense or how it helps to boost your employment chances in Nigeria.

6. Claiming to study in a field that is technically dormant in Nigeria and hence little chance of employment. For example studying a program in Nuclear physics and claiming to apply the skill set back in Nigeria!

7. Stating that your employee will give a 2yr study leave! in Nigeria that is almost not possible unless you're a top ranked official or extremely important.

This are just some of the many mistakes regarding refusals based on employment reasons. Please avoid this mistakes. All the best.

Point 7 got me. In my leave of absence letter to the chairmen of board of directors of the two companies I co founded, I requested for a 4 years study leave as I'm going for Bsc. It was accepted in the board resolution and all board members signed. Will that 4 years study leave cause issues?

Ok thanks boss.
I also want to know the necessary things needed to have a higher chance of getting one's visa approved. Can I use my O'level result since it's a diploma course or it's compulsory I use my Bsc transcript

Hello Niyiwhaless,

It is not a good idea going for a Diploma after a B.sc as it shows no academic progress. But if you can convincingly show a progression from a profeesional viewpoint, then its okay to go ahead.

The most important thing is to provide all relevant required documents, avoid costly mistakes/errors, stay clear from misrepresentation. You can check IRCC website or the first page of this thread or the previous for list of required documents.

However, your B.sc certificate will suffice.

All the best.

To begin with, it's extremely difficult to get approved for Bsc programs if you aren't a teenager. I'm not saying impossible but difficult. Also stating you'd be given 4yrs study leave is impossible to believe.

Hey people my friend was refused based on the following reasons
Employment condition.... They're mad. I attached my employment letter and promotion letter

Ties in Canada and home country... They're sick. I uploaded properties worth 130k Canadian dollars in my name

Purpose of visit... What else was I going to do there apart from study. Why would I pay tuition if I don't want to study

Hello Phatkings,

It has come to the point where this process is nothing but based on the applicants status or LUCK.

BTW is the application for you or your friend?

Hello all

I want to congratulate those that had gotten their visa already and to those that didn’t...sorry abt that.
Please I have just 12 questions to ask and I need all ur answers
1. What are all the document you need to submit as a graduate that has served in NYSC here is Nigeria and still want to study another course in canada shoukd submit to enhance the visa approval

2. What are the document that could bring rejection in study visa.
Thanks all

Hello Truthshurts,

For a comprehensive list of documents for SP, you can visit IRCC website to check the required documents for Nigeria applicants or check the first page of this thread or the previous page.

Thus, getting approved depends on how well you package your application and how much luck falls on you in the process.

All the best.

I doubt if i ever felt it was an attack.. Lol, You are the boss here and i don't think i was harsh in my reply also.

Everyone knows the major advice is to reapply but time has gone and most admissions are for January. Reapplying now means you probably have to defer to summer or fall session next year. Hence my advise for people to consider writing to them first before finally reapplying again. Like i said if someone could get a passport request after writing to them during this same period of many refusal, its worthy for anyone to also try it.

No worries. We cool.

Hello Boommer,

You can check Centennial college. The most suitable thing foe you to do is make a shortlist of schools, make a direct contact with them either by email or on call to get familiarized with their admission requirements. You can as well surf through their website for their admission requirements.

All the best.

Hello Achu442,

Regarding your DoB, a sworn affidavit will suffice. Also, the WAEC will suffice. You should endeavour to include a valid WAEC scratch card for the school admission processing.

Good luck.

Good day all,
I am new here and need help concerning Master in a social work program in Canada.
My 1st degree is 2.2 in a related course to BSW, my IELTS score is 7.0 overall.
1. I will like to ask about grad schools that are low cost.
2. Can I alternative seek for admission into a Canadian college for a similar course? 3. Will visa be granted towards such (the college of admitted)?
4. What schools - Uni or College are adviced

What do I do please?

The person's best bet is to apply for a PhD since the candidate already has a M.eng and should contact supervisors in Canada that share similar research interest with him/her.

Also, I would appreciate if this person in question could come here to ask his/her questions.

All the best;
I'm sorry i just realised i made a mistake. It's a B.Eng, not a masters

Hi, to begin with tour CGPA can't get you an msc program in Canada. Going for other post graduate programs such as Graduate Certificate, Advanced diploma programs etc will be the best option going forward. People get refused for msc programs and colleges so it isn't about your choice of institution.
