Please i need your recommendations between a lexus es350 2010 and a Honda accord 2014 in terms of reliability, maintenance, etc

Hope you are not expecting anyone to recommend a Toyota over a Honda product for you on a Honda thread?

I have a Honda civic 2008 model, about 1month ago I was coming from Church and the car started slowing down and wasn't moving past between 10-17 km/h, called up my mechanic and he said it was fuel filter. Had that changed still no pressure and was told to change the entire fuel pump. Pressure started well but car started with a cranking sound when starting up the engine and still won't start anymore. Was told to get a new gasket, engine top, timing chain, and adjuster then grind the valves. Now with all that done, the car starts but now no pressure again and so the engine dies off.

Any ideas what might be the problem and possible solution? I have had over 3 mechanics on it but still no ideas.

Need help, I need it for Taxify duties which I was doing before the problem started.

God bless.

Abeg guys, my car has refused to start, key won’t turn, tried to move steering to the left and start the car to unlock, but steering don hook.

Called a re-wire, guy doesn’t appear to know his onions, he unscrewed all the steering and some parts around it and said we need to take the key case to Ladipo for it to be replaced which I think is absolutely ridiculous.

Please kindly recommend someone that knows his stuff to me.

good day guys, i had some issues with my car radiator and i had to replace the radiator with a new one (double cell), i didn't bypass the thermostat based on the advice i got from here. The problem i noticed some days back is that the car vibrates when IDLE or on low motion, i had the nozzles serviced but the vibrations persist. The engine mounts are also ok. I scanned the car with a DIY scanner and got the following codes....

P2185

P0135

could these codes be the reason for the vibrations and how do i go about resolving this problem......The car is 2006 honda accord...thanks

First, check your coolant level. If that's fine, they most likely did not connect your coolant temperature sensor in the radiator or crossed some wires. That sensor communicates with the ECU.

Other code has to do with oxygen sensor. Have them check coolant temperature sensor then rescan

It happened to me. 2003 Accord.

I was able to do DIY and start the car but the steering remained locked. The key cylinder was the issue and was fixed by a locksmith.

Avoid the V6 & 2.0 engines, go with a scanner before buying

Up your budget a little and get a Toks, less risk but you would still need to get a honest technician to do pre purchase inspection on whichever sample you are interested in..
Again concerning your budget.. Must it be a 2010 model? You can get an 08 model for less.

Newer is always better if you have money sha..

Good morning, please I’m having so many issues with my Honda accord 2010 and my mechanic is making me spend unnecessarily and no positive results:

1. The car jerks when it changes gear
2. Very loud sound when i turn it on in the morning or after it has been parked for a while.
3. Car vibrates so bad when I’m in traffic and not moving.
4. I hear a metallic sound when turning, I have complained about this one countless times because I don’t want my tire to fly off on the road.
5. My fuel consumption is now so high unlike how it was before.

Please if anybody can recommend a good mechanic for me I’d be grateful, i stay around Masha in Surulere.

Thank you.
