When you say better it implies he Collins is competent he simply is not good enough.

Although Aina is not naturally left footed he is better by a considerable margin than all our current LB or RB

He has been consistently good for a considerable length of time. Both for the SE and in all his clubs.

Well, Aina is a better LB than Collins but I want Aina to play the RB position.

But should Etebo comes back, I guess both Aribo and Ramon will make way for him..!! Because am not seeing Rohr starting either of them ahead of Iwobi.

Aribo and azeez should make way for etebo , as per say etebo na sergio busquets or iniesta ?

They have done better than him so far this season, he should fight back for his spot, nothing automatic here bros

Philosopher1979:
I THINK ROHR SHOULD STAY UNTIL 2022 WORLD CUP.
THAT WAY HE WILL BUILD A STRONG TEAM
HE HAS TRIED AND HE AT LEAST HAS SOMETHING TO OFFER
WE SHOULD JUST WORK ON THE FACT THAT HE SHOULD LIVE IN NIGERIA
AND TRY AND USE HOME BASED PLAYERS.
LET US LEAVE HIM AS COACH
I WANT TO KNOW PEOPLE'S OPINION ON THIS.
SHOULD ROHR STAY UNTIL 2022 WORLD CUP OR LEAVE NEXT YEAR
I PERSONALLY BELEIVE HE SHOULD STAY AS THE ADVANTAGES
ARE MORE THAN THE DISADVANTAGES.
HE SEEMS TO BE BUILDING A STRONG TEAM THAT CAN DOMINATE AFRICAN
AND WORLD FOOTBALL FOR SOME TIME TO COME

Even if they are not good enough?

It isn't Rohr's responsibility to pander to the whims of an NFF and LMC that refused to improve on the NPFL quality

angry

The bits of the match I saw were quite interesting. Lesotho were very game. We were superior in possession but out of possession we seemed to be on the same level as our hosts.

I saw both of their goals and to be honest they were very disappointing in their development. We just can't seem to keep a clean sheet no matter the opposition. we have conceded against Seychelles AT HOME, Benin Republic within 2 mins and now 2 against a Lesotho team who frankly should not be crossing the half way line against a truly elite team.

This is a mentality thing in my opinion. We let in a goal against Tahiti ffs! Just not good enough.

Very impressive scoreline though it could have been more than that due to missed chances. However, the team still lacks in some certain areas. Especially, the wing backs, where we were exposed several times and conceded the first goal from the right back.

Aina should be moved back to his natural position while we look at Chima Okoroji for redemption at the LB. Pending the time we try him, Idowu should be allowed to play on the LB. He is better than Collins both defensively and offensively.

Rohr should also look for a back up for Aina and Oshimen. I suggest Kingsley Ehizibue be given a look at. He seems to be more attack minded than Ebuehi. I have not written off Ebuehi oooo.

On the other hand, we need a better back up for Oshimen. We don't need to realize or start looking for one during crises.

Moreover, Iwobi's position needs a better player.

Exactly bro

Victor Osimhen is a beast. 2goals 2 assists!

But now we need a deputy. For me Onuachu is not an option.

Exactly bros. As i said earlier, I don't even mind drafting Olayinka or Bona to deputise for him

Maybe Cyril Dessers?

We really need a very good deputy

Looking back at the match highlights again, I think Awaziem may have been exposed a couple of times too
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by darkelf: 11:10pm On Nov 17, 2019
I know elite European clubs are already looking at Osimhen but make our boy use him head ooo

Regular playing time should be paramount in making a choice....money is secondary (although also important)

defensively he is suspect to me. I don't even know what's Idowu's best position. Since the Argie friendly game I've hardly been impressed with him. He reminds me of a versatile Etebo in this regard. But the latter, I can at least identify his strengths. He is good at ball holding/dribbling.
Collins is not a bad player though. But we want excellence. The good thing is that we have options to consider in makeshifts. Looking for a pure lefty LB will be "hard". We can't have what we don't have unless we want to give the local boys a try.. haha.. Over to Rohr

That Idowu no be am. Dude scampers like a straggling calf.

On another note. What are the chances of the Super Eagles if we should play the following teams (in a friendly or tournament)?

1. England

2. Portugal

2. Portugal
a stern test for the Eagles .... they have a lot of tactical players

3. Croatia....it could could go either ways

4. Austria not a strong side for the eagles

5. Denmark....in the category of Ukraine

On the contrary I want us to face a hardworking Japanese side

I want to see how our players will cope with 90 mins of running

I disagree with your views on austria

They are currently second in their Euro 2020 qualifiers table and are on the verge of qualifying

And yes, Ukraine is slightly above denmark

The way y'all think that Collins will start in the afternoon, because according to you guys he's a sure banker to start as long as Rohr is coach.
Even Etebo won't say this. I'm sure he Knows that he now has work to do.

This is not the era of local coaches where senior team players just stroll into start line ups , even though there are better performing and deserving players. This time around, you are as good as your current form, and no more guaranteed spots. Rohr has shown us this time and time again

IN A FRIENDLY we would manage at least a win, a couple or more draws and at least a loss. Overall, an average score.
BUT IN A TOURNAMENT I can't be very confident yet....
