Alhassan Yusuf is the future of Nigeria's midfield. The kid is not just a good player, he is actually gifted like Mikel in 2005.
Mark my words, he will still displace Aribo and Ramon Azeez in that midfield. Time will prove me right. The Sweedish have allready seen this and want to naturalize him.

Dele can still make the team.

It will be hard o. The emergence of Mason Mount and James Madison, coupled with the return of the Ox into his full and beastly form has complicated things for him. Even Lingard of Man Utd sef knows that his time is up.

Dele will have to work twice as hard to come back. To make matters worse, the abysmal form of his club currently is not helping matters

Once Dele is on form he'll walk straight back into the team.

Are u sure.

Fighting his way back into the team should be the appropriate word. Because with the Emergence of Mount, Madison and return of Oxlade Chamberlain, I don't think he would be able to Walk straight back into the team like that. The funniest part is those two guys (Mount and Madison) are an upgrade on Ali, because they have the work rate that Ali lacks and are better creative midfielders, especially that Madison.

So Ali can't walk straight back into any where, because he's not competing with Lingard , he will have to fight his way back into the team.

Left back at AFCON that got him turned all over again until Rohr had to start using Colins?

Or why did Colins end up playing most of the remaining AFCON games as the LB?

Club form is way different from country, afterall the same Colins is balling for his club with goals to his name abi you no no?
Collins only played the quarter final and Semi

When u see Andorra's (a minnow in Europe) home pitch where they host visiting teams for the ENL, u will apologise to both Seychelles and Lesotho (both African minnows) for the insults hauled at them due to their respective pitches

My stance remains we can cause problems to the top teams of the international game if we play to our strength. I do not focus on results but performance which in a long run will yield to more consistent good results.

So against these teams, we can perform well and cause them troubles if we play with intensity and bravery. Noting that we must also keep a strong defensive shape while doing this.

However, if we go to play this team with a negative mindset, sitting deep and waiting for favours, we will likely look poor and weak.

To answer your question, it depends on how we set up. In an offensive way, we will cause them problems. In a negative way, we will cause ourselves problems.
Your third paragraph is the mentality that has magnetized Rohr's brain since our WCQ matches. He needs to balance his game, give the boys confidence and unleash them.

I watch clips of Nigeria vs Argentina and other USA 94 matches, Kai the kind of exhilarating gusto and aplomb with which SE played ehn, you will know this is not a team that tells itself 'we came to learn'.

2018 Rohr don learn, now let him surpass himself

Tottenham's woes are not helping at all. However, you're right he has quite a challenge unseating those other guys but Dele is good too o and he has done well in England Colours.

The main point however I'm trying to pass is that Dele hasn't been "dumped". If he hits form he's automatically back in contention.

I agree with your second paragraph ofcourse.

England only deal with players in form. So if he gets better, he will get into the squad again.

Don't think it was recognised. It was just a scrimmage. Was played without coverage and more than the permitted no. of subs for a FIFA recognised Grade A game were used.

In that case, I think the match against Togo won't count because I read that the permitted number of subs was also exceeded

Former Super Eagles midfielder has reacted to Nigeria’s 4-2 win over Lesotho in Sunday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Setsotho Stadium.

The former Africa Footballer of the Year winner told Soccernet.ng in a chat that the team displayed a high level of hunger and determination to achieve victory.

Emmanuel Amuneke, commended Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr for creating a winning mentality amongst the players, however, warned against been complacent.

“It’s a good thing to see the Super Eagles show some level of determination that was known in the past. I am impressed with the overall performance of the team even though I believe there is still room for improvement,” Amuneke told Soccernet.ng

“Credit should also go to Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr for good work he has done with the team. Coming from behind to defeat Lesotho shows that the players are ready to hold their own against any team in Africa.

“I just urge the team to remain focus and maintain their winning form once they return to their various clubs in Europe.

I'm assuming that the people he is referring to are the top officials in the NFF and not Nigerians..
Osimhen just had a good season in Belgium while Iheanacho was condemned to the bench..no sane Nigerian opposed Osimhen inclusion in that AFCON squad... it was on this thread that people voiced their displeasure at Iheanacho inclusion in the provisional squad self...
Ironically,Rohr himself told us during the AFCON that he wasn't giving Osimhen and Onyekuru game time at the AFCON because he thought they were lightweight

Osimhen didn't deserve to be called as at that time he struggled in the Bundesliga. His case is not different from Awoniyi who is also struggling in the same league but nobody thinks he's good enough. How then was Osimhen good enough as at that time?

You can't still compare Osimhen with Rashid Yekini except he starts scoring like him. He is still far away.
The comparison is in respect of Osimhen's potential.

It's time somebody surpassed Rashidi abeg. If almost 20 years we are still stuck with Rashidi' s record, it means we are not making progress.
