Please help, will I qualify for the post study work visa? Read posts of justwise, hosey et al, but I am very confused. Attached is a screenshot of my start and end date (which was hammered on that course end date is different from visa end date).
Please where do I stand for the PSW issue.

On 11 September 2019 the UK Government announced the creation of a new graduate immigration route. The route will be open to international students who entered the UK in the academic year 2020/21 onwards and have completed a degree at undergraduate level or above at reputable higher education institutions.

The bold does not say it has to be September or January

It appears the post study work visa is more vital for you, than the degree you wish to get (on the scale of preference).
I would heed @hosey’s advice and defer till September 2020.
By then;
Elections would have happened.
Boris would have been elected (hopefully).
BreXit withdrawal agreement would have been reached.
The PROPOSED 2 year PSW visa would have been agreed (or solidified).

Above all, I would have used Jan 2020 - August 2020 to get experience and skills in Nigeria, before travelling.

No, it shouldn’t . (Don’t know how far into the pregnancy she has gone anyways).

But I must warn you, going to a new country, trying to settle down, academic stress, pregnant wife, no mother inlaw or younger sister to help... you will struggle.
Hope you are a strong supportive husband?

If your course is finishing Feb 2021 then you don't qualify, but if your course finishes June/July 2021 then you qualify.

Wow. Guess I have to abort the mission.
Sorry please, what about a 16 months course with start date of January 15th. By calculation, it should end May 2021. Can one proceed or abort this too? Thanks

How old is the pregnancy?
TB screening would involve X-ray.
X-rays not recommended for pregnant women.
I don’t think u will require to show prove of funds for a baby in-utero.

Thank you.

I read the link.

I also saw this message;

The earlier Tier 1 (Post-Study Work) route was closed in 2012 because evidence suggested that the route was open to abuse, and many on the route were unemployed or in low-skilled work. The Graduate route will have safeguards to ensure that we have control over who can access it, in order to prevent such abuse in the future. Students will only be eligible for the route if they can demonstrate that they have successfully passed their course at degree level or above, studied at a trusted institution, and complied with the terms of their student visa.

This is in line with my previous advice.
I wonder what ‘trusted institutions’ mean exactly.

trusted Institutions means those that have track record and do not give black market admission.

Many people are wondering if the Brexit Election on December 12 would have effect on the post study Visa well to answer this. THE ELECTIONS WOULD HAVE NO EFFECT ON THIS .

THE post study Visa have come to stay. The cancellation of the previous post study Visa in 2012 was a result of a single initiative from the home secretary ( Theresa May)
During her time as the prime minister , petitions and proposals were brought by different MPs over the years to restore this Visa but she waved it off due to her strict immigration orientation.

It came as no surprise when the new prime minister Boris Johnson restored the post study Visa because lot of petitions been passed by the universities and student unions alongside various MPs in different parties. In fact so fact only 2 MPs have voiced in opposition of this new arrangement, a sign that majority are in support of this.

How would the elections affect the PsW Visa?

There are 3 main parties in the Brexit election

Conservative party
Labour party
Brexit Party or UKIP

The other parties which are SNP, Green Party and Liberal Party have been proven to have no chance in winning the elections with some of the candidates offering to step down for either a conservative, labour or UKIP candidate that share the same or closest view with them on Brexit.

So the 3 main challengers are these three parties
I doubt the UKIP would have a chance to win this election because many do not like their policies on issues like the budget and all . But they may have a go at this election because they have the best Brexit plan and some candidates in this other 4 parties may step down in support of the UKIP.
Even if the UKIP should win which is 70% unlikely , the leader, Nigel Farage voiced in support of the post study Visa by Boris Johnson government.

Now to the two main contenders
Labour and Conservative

If the conservative should eventually win , the PsW would go ahead as planned , though the UK government would try to maintain a point based immigration system similar to that of Australia .

If the labour should win , well this may end up being even better for the international graduates as the Labour immigration policy is so accommodating and likely to that of Canada.
The leader Jeremy Corbyn added when asked about the PsW Visa new scheme that the Visa should be extended more than 2 years.

In conclusion whatever happens in the Brexit elections on December 12 would make it anything but better or the same for the PsW Visa.

2 . I still stand with the fact that going for a masters program this January whether 1 year or 2 year program would be risky if you want to enjoy the PsW Visa.
The scheme said the new route would begin only for those who resume September 2020 .

So let us be Frank

September is just 10 months from now.

Hello,

I recently got January admission offer for University of Aberdeen and I have initiated my ATAS certificate application due to end 11 Dec. I will like to know if there are any favourable student accommodation outside of the one the school provides.

I think so too that it's those who finish in May not Sept that will be the first batch...

The meteorological seasons official classification . The months of spring are March, April and May, while the summer months are June, July and August.

If the official statement is below , then those program ends in May when do they officially graduate?,.... I would guess those who finish in May actually graduate in July or Jun ? If yes then July is Summer. The home office statement is clear , it's not when you start that determine PSW or when your program end date but when you graduate

The new route will be launched in the summer of 2021, meaning that any eligible student who graduates in the summer of 2021 or after will be able to apply for the route. This includes students who have already started their courses. .

That is not true, you are misleading people.

This is what the scheme says and I quote: The new route will be launched in the summer of 2021. Any student who successfully completes their degree-level course at a qualifying institution in the summer of 2021 or thereafter will be eligible to apply. This includes students who are already studying.
