The truth is all positions have now been invited for interviews by Total. if you did not receive an invite for assessment from GCC in October you are most likely out of the process so just move on.
If you got a rejection email without an apology email, MOVE ON
If you got a rejection email and an apology email but no invite for assessment in October, MOVE ON
If you got a rejection email, an apology email and an invite for assessment in October but no invitation for interview from Total last week, MOVE ON
Last last what is yours will not pass by you. I realize a lot of folks here are very selfish. I mean, people have been invited for all these positions but nobody has come here to say they were invited. It took a lot of persuasion from a friend over the weekend to find out that interviews have been scheduled. Its quite shocking to say the least!

Na God go help us sha. SMH.

Having gone through this thread and last year's Total recruitment, I can tell that if you have received an apology mail be patient invite would come not necessarily this year(same occurred last year folks got theirs early to middle of this year).
And if you look closely the apology mail isn't auto reply. It was well crafted.

i did recieve the invite for the position of telecommunication maintenance Engineer . Did my structured interview Yesterday. 2 interviews. One with HR and the other with Line representatives. If you are going for the interview be well prepared. The 3 members of the line rep are technical and you must know your onions. Good luck

I haven't heard of testimonies from metering engineers

I received invite for Mechanical Engineer structured interview, scheduled for next week... I'm hopeful as I know it'd be very technical.

I understand many people are not talking as the recruitment is very competitive.
They are not being selfish! I too am yet to get a grind of what to expect and therefore preparing widely.

For all those who haven't been called, I'd advice you move on as Uspadora said, to save yourself heartbreaks. I strongly believe all the positions have been called at least for structured interview.
I think I read somewhere that Metering Engineers have done Medicals sometime ago.

In my opinion, the email was sent because the positions were going to go through then shortlisting and assessment stages again.
I heard the positions were split in two sets. The first guys have done their medicals and the second batch (including Metering Engineers) are going through interviews now. Hence my reason for saying "move on" in my earlier post.

I blame neither GCC or Total for the complication in the process. Its a new process and it is bound to be shaky at the start. However i would say it was much better last year.

Mr livinuschukwug, I hardly comment on Nairaland but on this I feel i should drop something, just because you were not invited does not make the selection process fraudulent, if you want to know some set were still shortlisted a couple of weeks ago, they wrote test and are having their interviews tomorrow. I wish you know the CVs of people that applied for roles in this Total recruitment, at least I know someone working in Saudi Aramco that went through the initial stages. If you must know the recruitment firm is not one AGBERO Nigerian company that select father, mother and children.
Ask anyone that got interviewed by them, they will tell you that the recruitment firm is run by mostly whites, if you must know some had their assessment centre in London, do you think Total is is a company that is so backward and wont monitor the selection process from day 1?.
Ask anyone that made it to the interview panel in Total, they will tell you how rigorous each stage was and if truly the process is not fair, Total would have canceled the entire process when they see the crop of candidates sent to them by the recruitment firm.

We should just be careful what we drop online because we don't know who is reading

I was interviewed last week, though everyone interviewing me was Black, they corresponded with white folks through conferencing devices. We shld e careful what we right.
