Stop being stupid for everyday grin

I don't have to compare anything. All I need to do is read reports by people who compare such luxury goods. One is the Mauritus AfroAsia which declare Kenya luxury market to be bigger..400M versus 500M dollars.

Kenya port Authority - didn't sign any loan deal with China. They sign a take or pay. It not poor. Not by Ghanian standards. Mombasa port alone handles more goods than two Lagos ports. This year we are at 33M metric tonnes. And it damn efficient.

KPA made profit of 150M dollars..revenues nearly 500M dollars.

• By May 31, KPA had collected Sh48.9 billion, they expect to collect an additional Sh6.4 billion to hit their Sh55.3 billion target by June 30.

We have very diversified economy - including agricluture - I think outside south africa - by the types of goods we export - it's staggering. Horticulture alone is worth 3B dollars - and export there is surely approaching 2B dollars.

Look at Tea - this year it's down by 20-30% - nobody cares. We have well diversified export crops - maybe we export 200 types of crops

Imagine if your COCOA was to go down 20-30%. You will be pleading for IMF to come to your 17th rescue.

hahahaha grin grin grin grin

well diversified what?

you are still doing 5 billion dollars

your diversity should improve that

why are you still borrowing to pay other debts and finance your currency
to support your huge import bill because you are worth shit?

KR borrowed - short for Kenya Railways. KPA did not borrow. They committed to reserve 40% of port cargo for KR. That is all. They will only pay if they cannot hit 40% of all cargo being railed. So for example assume KPA only manages to give KR - 30% of cargo - they will pay 10% idle capacity. Very much like you poor Ghanians are paying 1B dollars to idle thermal power plants...which is kinda idiotic.

Seen us call for IMF bailout. We export 6B dollars very diversified list of goods to very diversified countries - including 50% of Africa. We also have very STRONG domestic economy. Look at your Cocoa...can you eat them if they are not exported. You can't - you cannot even produce chocolate bars.We drink at least 10% of our tea.

Boeing, Ghana sign MoU for three 787-9 Dreamliner jets for national carrier

Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company

Boeing and the Republic of Ghana announced today that the country intends to re-launch an airline starting with the 787-9 Dreamliner. The parties signed a memorandum of understanding at the Dubai Air Show for three airplanes with a list price value of $877.5 million according to list prices.

"There is a growing demand for air travel to and from Ghana and we believe the advanced 787-9 Dreamliner gives us an efficient and flexible machine to launch a regional network and eventually serve international destinations in the future," said Joseph Kofi Adda, Honorable Minister of Aviation and Member of Parliament, Republic of Ghana. "The 787 has an excellent reputation for its operational performance, fuel efficiency and passenger experience and we are confident that we have the right partner for our new carrier."

Adda says the carrier, to be based in Accra, would establish the capital city as a strategic hub that serves cities across West Africa. Future routes would include destinations in Europe, North America and Asia and the long-term plan is to open the airline to private investment and operation.

"Africa boasts a growing, young workforce and vast natural resources. We see the demand for air travel continuing to rise across the continent. Boeing is honored to work with Ghana in helping re-launch an airline to serve this vast market," said Ihssane Mounir, senior vice president of Commercial Sales & Marketing for The Boeing Company. "We look forward to working with the government on an integrated solution that includes the 787-9 Dreamliner and aviation services to support the new airline and provide a superior experience for its future passengers."

The 787-9 is part of a family of three airplanes that offer long ranges and unmatched fuel efficiency in the 200 to 350 seat market. The 787-9 can carry 296 passengers and fly up to 7,530 nautical miles (13,950 kms), while reducing fuel use and emissions by 20 to 25 percent compared to older airplanes.

Since entering service in 2011, the 787 family has enabled the opening of more than 250 new point-to-point routes and saved 45 billion pounds of fuel. Every day, there are more than 1,600 commercial flights on a 787 Dreamliner. This means that somewhere in the world a 787 Dreamliner takes off every minute. To date, more than 400 million passengers have flown on the airplane.

About Boeing:
