do one need pressure pipes to run waste through the chambers to the soakaway. I just got i quote for 20 pieces of 6' pressure pipe at 5.5k each and sundry sizes of pressure pipes for this external plumbing work. It sounds odd to me.

The system is that when you have lager number of toilet in a building ( especially commercial building) such system of introducing bigger diameter of pipe like 4.5-6’ is advisable to eliminate blockage of chambers.

Itwould be hard to tell, as we do not know the size of the proposed building.

Its better you get a quantity surveyor to prepare a BOQ which contain cost breakdown of the project.

With the BOQ, you would be able detect if a contractor has inflated his quotation or has underquoted.

I don’t know why people will say hand made block will be stronger than machine made sand Crete block, when you used same ratio for both (same quantity of sand, cement )to produce same quantities of block

When I said we have been using this device for long not 2,5,10 yrs to detect leakage ... yes I mean what I said.

Don’t forget we do filled the container with water before carry out the test.

I will find time to explain the process or post the Vedio later here when time permits to do so.

Same process with smoke test. The leakage point will show.

The sumo pump, does it have a non return check valve?.
Am wondering if the water pumped into the tank...is returning and flowing back into the water well bore..

All submersible pump do comes with non return valve.
More so according to your earlier post, you make mentioned that the water do lasted for some days before.
So it means the non return valve is not the problem. Unless maybe someone just remove it while they carried out repair work on the pump. ( just a suggestion)

If cars will be on your soakaway, ensure the structural components of your soakway can withstand this. Will the slab sit on blocks or on beams and /or columns? I prefer the the latter anyways.

No ops done on the sumo recently.am wondering if the check valve may have failed.
A more experienced plumber came and suspects the leakage is from the supply pipes underground, as the pipes were buried and interlocking placed on top...
Some areas of the interlocking have sank..and these are pedesterian areas....cars dont pass there, so plumber suspects the leak may be there...

The plan is to run new surface supply piping entirely and disconnect the old one..
