Mkenya2019:very insane , an electricity sector that supply all Ghana electricity demand of about 25 million People and above excluding export is generating below 1000?. something is right wrong in your skulls with that alone , i estimate its assets to be at somewhere between GHc 14.4 billion and about GHc 15.96 billion which we probably be more than 4 billion dollar while its (non-core capital) liabilities as it stood at GHc 7.6 billion. which is little above 1 billion dollar. 1 Like 1 Share |

vaxx1: I am not a Kenyan but I have to tell the truth this marriage between Nigeria and Ghana is not going to last at all wait and see. If you Ghanaians can reason Kenya has done nothing to hot gaana. But on the other hand Nigeria close their borders which Ghanaian trucks are sitting at the same a border losing millions of Dollars a week doing nothing. The real Enemy of the Ghanaian is the Nigerian. Ghana has just decided to fall in the enemies trap. A lot of businesses on both sides have been affected by the border closure even VIP transport in Ghana is complaining ABC transport in Ghana is complaining. Ghanaians just think about this no Kenya has made a Ghanaian unemployed but how many Ghanaian have Nigerians made unemployed with the border closure |

Tullow said our oil will break-even even at a price of 34 dollars per barrel. We don't have much of it though. Currently our small oil sells at a premium 63 dollars per barrel. https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/corporate/companies/Kenya-ready-to-export-Sh1bn-crude-oil-stocks/4003102-5209252-ves4e3z/index.html Mkenya2019: 1 Like |

School Feeding: Oyetola Inaugurates 2,210 New Food Vendors (Photos) by Blogsphere: 8:28am Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has inaugurated 2,210 newly-recruited food vendors to boost the home-grown school feeding programme initiative of the government. Oyetola stated that his government resolved to continue the school feeding programme so that “efforts at making education accessible and pleasurable for our children will not be defeated.” The governor also distributed cooking utensils, uniforms, feeding bowls among other materials to the new school food vendors to ease their services. Oyetola who spoke at the flag-off ceremony in Osogbo, the state capital on Monday, said his administration was giving a boost to the Osun Elementary School Feeding and Health Programme (O’MEALS) initiative by empowering the newly-recruited food vendors to deliver service in a professional, efficient and effective manner. He commended the O’MEALS management for putting in place a transparent procedure to select the new food vendors, noting that the government is empowering the vendors by procuring cooking utensils and other materials through a soft loan from the bank. Oyetola disclosed that the bank loan will be repaid by the state government in order not to put any burden on the vendors, noting that the welfare of all food vendors in the state is paramount to his administration. He, however, urged the vendors to reciprocate the government’s gesture by providing good services through the serving of required quality and quantity of food to the pupils. “You must not compromise the prescribed rules and regulations of service, including acceptable hygiene rules, general condition of the kitchen and neatness of the cooking environment,” the governor said. The governor also revealed that he had directed officials of the State Water and Environmental Sanitation (WES) to visit the cooking sites of the vendors to check their level of neatness. “We can neither afford to give our children unhygienic food nor supply them with nutrient-deficient meals. Therefore, anyone of you found wanting in the delivery of their services will be sanctioned.” The caterers were recruited under the Osun Elementary School Feeding and Health Programme (O’MEALS) as part of the government efforts to promote quality, functional and qualitative education and as well help to make education more attractive and appealing to the pupils in the state. The recruitment of the new food vendors across the 30 Local Government Areas and One Area Office was an initiative conceived by the government to augment parents’ care-giving efforts and essentially to produce children who are “physically and mentally balanced

vaxx1:I don't think you understand your country power sector..at the apex is VRA & IPPs..then 3 electricity distributor including ECG as the disco..then GRIDco who own most of tranmission network.VRA still sell power to the big customers in minning leaving the likes ECG to share about 4m customer in Ghana.I estimate each sell about 500-1000MW or less - about 1500mw divided by 3 every day.If you assume that ECG sell about 2,000 GWH annually at unit cost of 14-20 cent USD per kWH...total revenues of ECG is about 300-400M USD.If you remove the expense of distributing that power including shocking systems loss of 20%, I estimate the expense are huge.I would be very surprised if ECG ever makes profit or at best 5m dollars. We know the company is in red because Ghanians don't pay for power worse their gov.So if you were to sell me such a company with very tiny margins and uncollected debt..I would at best give you 100-200m dollars..say P/E of 10-20. 1 Like |

Stevoh18:In Nigeria we don't depends on oil anymore. Manufacturing is the key. We manufacture and produce stuffs. with our shot life expectancy we're still living long and healthy. Nigeria has the highest number of children out of school, that was 2017 and not 19. Kenya case is worse. You have the highest dept rate in Africa with your life expectancy you're still dying of hunger and starvation you're the poorest creatures on Earth poverty push you idiots to rent out your wives and daughters all because of poverty and hunger without tea, Kenya is gone |
