You have been strong, keep hanging in there. All of it will be well worth it. by Gods grace.

I also got a cerclage installed at 15wks and it lasted only a few minutes - no pain whatsoever, and yes, its the uncertainty of what could happen after it am also dealing with (i wont use the word 'fear'). You are told to rest A LOT, no driving (to avoid any pressure), no standing for too long, no unnecessary stairs climbing, no rough sex (at least no penetrations - this is where you and your partner get creative *wink* etc... basically bedrest, if you can. All these are to keep the stitch around the cervix in place till you are at least around 38 or 39wks+ when it will again be removed via same process in preparation for birth (this time without any medication to numb you).

To put your mind at ease, you can check how things are at every antenatal visit via an abdominal scan - the sonographer will check to see that the stitch is still in place and cervix is still closed.

PS* - I have not had the luxury of all that prescribed 'rest' - I have a super active toddler and a busy work schedule with no help and its been fine so far without any issues by the grace of God only.

I was discharge yesterday evening. The cerclage procedure was successful and the severe back pain is not painful as usual.The back pain is going gradually.

The following drugs was given to me after my discharge yesterday:

1)Cyclogest(At night through anus)
2)Pregnacare plus(Once Daily)
3)Paracetamol 500mg(two to be taken three times daily)
4)Vasoprin(Once daily)
5)Drazepam 5mg(At night)
6)Calcium Lactate 300mg(One to be taken two times daily)
7)Metronidazole 200mg(two to be taken three times daily)
8.) Cefuroxime Axetil 500mg(One to be taken two times daily)

Oh thank God you're home now. Please try and get all the rest you can get. In a few days, you'll forget you even had a procedure. The Lord who started this journey will see it to completion.

I was given cyclogest too. I was already on Vasoprin before the procedure, but stopped a few days before it. I'll resume again this week. The antibiotics are to prevent infection. You'll have to keep going on some antibiotics periodically too. I think you're good to go. All the best mama.

u c dt first trimester ehn.... Anything u r experiencing just tk it as it comes... As far as u aint bleedin n scan said d baby is fine.... All u gat 2 do is relax n takia of ursef as diff preggy symptoms shows up.... U c dt butt pain na small tin compare 2 wat oda preggy mamas including me went tru.

I am 40 weeks today and no sign of labour. No abnormal medical condition(high sugar or bp). Any cause for alarm?? My next hospital appointment is on friday. At this point i am tired and stressed out as a ftm.

sigh!!!! Same here ooo.... Infact not even ordinary braxton kicks .... Went 2 my doc n complained e said i stil ve +2wkz ooo dt labour can happen anyday anytime since I used my LMP dt we dont really knw wen d egg was fertilized

Lol, we are in the same boat. FTM too, I’m close to 41 weeks and no sign of labour, cervix still closed. I finished a whole pineapple yesterday, yimu. I’m getting induced most likely.

Ah, I’ve taken several walks and even did the activating labor exercise on YouTube, nothing. Not even mucus plus loss. I’ll keep doing all these till induction date, hopefully I get a show before then cos I heard induction is more painful.

From day one of my pregnancy been taking folic, f sulphate and vit c, after a while I couldn't stand it so I started taking it sometimes once in two days or three days. Yesterday a friend introduced me to obron 6 that she used it when she was preg, she's a nurse so I trusted her and also asked the doctors at my last antenatal and they approved. Is it really safe to take obron 6 during pregnancy? Cos Google is not helping matters.

i tried d pineapple too.... No show, did walking.... Asin i walked a long distance (in d morning b4 sun came out) 4 2hrs, notin, try kegel exercises not a thing, I just gave up ojere.... sigh!!!

if google said its not gud 4 pregnant women then its not gud.... Try as much as possible 2 b using ur prescribed drugs cs they r very important 2 u n ur baby... Or just go n buy pregnant care n b using.... Wishing u safe pregnancy journey... Happy bumping.

i will advice u 2 kick against eating anything raw especially drinking of egg raw which have dis bacteria called salmonella dt can cause danger 2 u n ur baby... There r many ways to increase ur pcv, like i learnt here eating of garden egg leave (will advice u 2 cook it n not eat it raw, thou sm mamas eat it raw but u know our immune systems r stronger dan one anoda) but i dont take garden egg leaves thou, i ve bein eating gure (water leave) n eating ugwu almost every week (i cooked them as normal soup n eat dem wit anything) 2 boost my pcv... Eat as much as possible.... If u drink milk, u baby is gonna b big, so stay away frm milk... I ve given u 3 different vegetables dt u can take 2 increase ur PCV n dey nva disappoint.... N mind u dont forget to take ur prenantal vitamins too. Happy bumping
