Aba maara ndi Aba grin

Aba and Onitsha used to be on the same level of development in the 1990s. There wasn’t much difference in the outlook of both cities.

After the return of democracy ( Nigerian version of democracy...lol), Onitsha left Aba behind and started developing rapidly.

What caused the major difference?

LEADERSHIP!!!

It’s important to choose leaders wisely.

I wish the introduced a more modern aspect to that project! The building arrangement is OK though -hope the shoe factory my governor is making much noise about would be better.
Talking of modern ways of doing things, an aid of the Abia state government -mr Sam hart- posted this pics on his wall. The modular Palm oil refinery, was built by an enterprising king of ohafia, in his village.

Palm oil is more valuable barrel-for-barrel than even crude oil! One of my frustrations about Rochas' 8 yrs admin' is him not reviving the fortunes of the massive Ohaji Palm oil plantation. His 'ikwuola nku' initiative all came to nought! If managed well, palm oil and all it value-added products could easily bring extra $100 million into Imo state gov't coffers yearly!

It's now called Ada-Palms.

That Youtube clip reminds me of trips we used to make to Ndoni before the Dr Peter Odili gov't constructed the road leading there. We used travel through that palm plantation (loved the scenery) and then catch a pontoon before getting to the villa!

in the next two to three years, I expect more Palm processing industries to crop up around aba and owerri. I noticed a lot of people bought tenera palms being distributed around a year ago in Abia. I saw two upcoming Palm plantations, springing up on the bank of the imo river during Xmas last year (@ ahiabaubi community) .
I hope the state governments of the east would distribute more of those palm seedlings

Except Abia state. Stop deceiving yourself. Kedu ife ndi FG melu Abia state?

Are they supposed to clear the filth in Abia or fix those deplorable state roads. State roads in Abia state constitute 98% of entire roads in Abia state. Kedu ife FG melu?
