Micpopson: Hello Micpopson, We suggest you write the CIS not ICAN. The former is relevant to IB than the latter. If you have the resources (finance, time and knowledge), you can forgo both and write the CFA. Furthermore, these articles will be of assistance to you: How to become an Investment Banker in Nigeria The A - Z of Investment Banking Companies that employ the most investment bankers in Nigeria How to break into investment banking as a 2.2 graduate 1 Like |

Jarus: Hi. Please what aspect of investment banking makes one a great stock investor? Is it IB or equity research? Also which of the two exposes one to various companies (allows you to be more diversified as you work on many different projects at once) so he becomes an expert that can easily switch to consulting (in big 4) later in life? Finally, between corporate finance and other divisions, which is likely to be marketable in the future or become extinct? Thank you |

Eyitayo29: My advice to you would be to stay where you are and finish your ICAN exams which you should be able to clear by the end of 2021. When you change jobs and you really want to move up the ladder fast then you should not be carrying extra baggage such as always wanting to go on exam leave 1 Like |

mayo47:Zenith is basically cash and teller (contract for two years) after which conversion happens. Coronation on the other hand doesn't have a clear role for now. Just graduate trainee in the merchant bank arm. Training starts soon |
