ednut1: The search on land will always reveal it owns by the government until the approval is granted on such particular area. When we are talking about Acquisition, we have two types: - Government Acquisition (Means own by govt.) - Committed Acquisition (Means own by the govt as well, but also such locations has been mapped out by the govt for specific projects). Those land with approved excision first passed through the process before been granted, not that they got the Excision by default. So if land is not under Committed Acquisition; though it still belong to the government but Excision can be granted on such land. It nice you have ideas about Ibeju-Lekki, you can testify to the fact that; land with approved excision are more expensive compared to those still undergoing the process. Above all, no reputable company will force anybody to buy land with Excision in process, we consultants even prefer if our clients can buy those with approved excision because it more expensive and you knew what that means. In nut shell, everything depends on clients budget, needs and preference, even legal practitioners are buying land with Excision in process. |

ednut1:Much of Lagos land for sale Na govt land, non-residential zones, committed land, etc. Some will even brazenly tell you "look, all those tall and fine buildings around are on govt land. The govt can't do any poo. Patapata you will do ratification" . As if ratification is cheap. 1 Like 1 Share |

FOR THE OMITTED 1. Check if Omo Onile will not disturb your life...you might even be forced to double your money when it's time to build 2. Check if there isn't any dispute on the land...It might be a scam... We've seen or heard of houses been sold to more than a single body or people selling lands that are not theirs. 3. Ask for all the required documents, ask again...Then ask again...Then make your research 4. For the believers... Seek the face of God concerning the land 5. Don't do pass your power... 1 Like |

In addition with company of your lawyer, it's a very good practice to have a town and urban planner with you when buying a piece of land. Information that town and urban planners possess when it concerns land use cannot be overemphasized. AfroKnight: 1 Like 1 Share |

The most important thing to check is the title document. In property business you are not buying the land... you re buying the title. |
