Case Specific Enquiry - Confirmation Success! Your enquiry has been sent to the visa office processing your application. You should receive a reply within 28 working days (by email, regular mail or fax). If your application is within normal processing times you may not receive a reply from the visa office. If your message contains new information for your application (e.g. adding a newborn or change of address) your file will be updated but the visa office may not respond to your email. jj17cv: 1 Like |

Hello everyone. Please how do I send my passport to VAC Lagos? I live in Port-Harcourt and won't be able to go in person to submit and/or collect. I saw on VFS global site that they charge about 11k for one way courier service per applicant. Can I courier the passport (and other documents) directly to VAC Lagos? If yes how do I get the passport sent back to me in Port-Harcourt? Your answers will be very much appreciated. Thanks. |

kennyliza: @kennyliza Two questions: 1. I read you ticked yes about your husband’s refusal, but did you also tick yes for yourself as being denied a US visa in the past? 2. Did you include reasonable hospital bills for your daughter’s birth. Recall she’s still very young so they expect your bills should be accessible and may want assurance you didn’t take free medical treatment form their neighbour (US). 1 Like 1 Share |

To add to what @Ozz suggested. Is your daughter in school/creche? if yes, then also attach school fees receipts. Add tax clearance certificates. If you have insurance, health cards, pension statements etc. Then add that as well. Basically you need to prove beyond reasonable doubt that you will be back to Nigeria after your holiday especially since you are travelling with the whole family. Long story cut short, you need sufficient home ties. My personal opinion. kennyliza: 1 Like |

Did you include reasonable hospital bills for your daughter’s birth. Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Ozzz: 12:46pm On Nov 22, 2019 |
@Kenny First of, purpose of visit, financial ish, and family ties are all inter related. The fact that you are going for "vacation" with whole family without an invitation from a family member or friend over there makes your application mostly dependent on the strength of your families ties to nigeria. Assuming you had an invitation letter from family or friend in canada it would reduce the load or ties expected of you from Nigeria. Family ties to naija : Below, @Makylove101, has given suggestions to how to beef up family ties in Nigeria. Because from the documents submitted for your daughter her ties are stronger in U.S. than Nigeria. She needs docs that associate her with naija. Furthermore when filling the family information form, hope you and hubby declared all your siblings and parents and ticked they're not accompanying you? this also beefs ties to naija.(some people don't declare all their siblings, some give wrong birth date of siblings, this can hunt you if that sibling has traveled before you) If you and hubby have "more" properties , building, land, even cars sef etc in both your names, or any of your names, add them. Employment, I did not see where any of you submitted leave letters, Leave letter is key in your case because your employer and hubbies employer are creating evidence to the VO that you have to come back in 2weeks to continue your job. shows commitment to Nigeria. it could easily replace the invitation letter you don't have from Canada.. makylove101: Purpose of Visit: Did you book a return ticket for 2weeks? Is your landing date, your start date for your hotel booking or accomodation as well as your day of check out, is it same day you exit canada? If there are discrepancies here, VO will think you are upto something fishy....lol Your sight seeing itinerary, is it detailed with dates location etc and under your budget? because if you want to see a place in Ontario and also in British Columbia for example, remember you will need to likely fly down, VO will peep into your funds again to see if it's adequate, the more provinces you visit, the more money you should have. Finance: I noticed your personal funds aren't sufficient enough for you and daughter, your husbands funds are sufficient it needs to be officially stated who is responsible for sponsoring the whole trip. Better still your husband will write a letter stating he will be responsible for all financial expenses of his family then VO is cleared. Now if you add your statement of account it only becomes a bonus, but if no letter to state who is sponsoring the family, VO can get confused, they know sometimes married couples don't agree lol ... A letter from your husbands bank stating he is free of debt and all funds are readily available is an advantage. instead of 4months Bank statement, you can give 6months just to prove beyond doubt to the VO. Your husbands payslips or stubs since he is the sponsor is needed it makes the VO understand how much he earns monthly then makes tracing into bank statement easy. Finally, when filling the form under how much you need, since hubby is sponsor, for your self and hubby make sure it is consistent, for example $10,000 CAD, in his form and yours too... Additional docs: if you have registered businesses with CAC, scan the front page and add, scan your highest credentials, include a family picture, then write a letter of explanation, identifying previous denials with reasons and how your current situation has changed in terms of sufficient documents submitted and the importance of the vacation to your family. I no be agent oo lol but I believe this should pull through. |

@wearasmile, sorry for your refusal, read my suggestions to Kenny above, one or two info will help. However I have some questions for you. 1. What was your purpose for applying ? 2. Is it just you and spouse that wanted to travel living children behind ? 3. Travel history, apart from your current passports biopage, visa stamps, you need to scan, border stamps as well if you didn't initially. If you have previous passports with stamps, you scan as well to build travel history. 1 Like 1 Share |

i noticed a lot of us with long application days that are still pending or recently denied have kids that were born in the US in common, maybe they think we are applying for canada as a hedge against the US denial/ renewal / fight against birth tourism. Or the US has marked our names on their system for administrative questioning and Canada wants no part of the drama 2 Likes |
