The girl would claim injury to her career which will be a small fine as.the Judge would consider that only 1 year of her career has been impeded. BabCock only need 10 student's school fees to pay whatever arises from the Legal risk. Judge cannot award more than that, meanwhile BabCock will lose hundreds of entrants if they don't show parents that they sanction students for such behaviour.

Meanwhile, that is worst case scenario as we both know that the girl cannot afford to take on BabCock lawyers who will tie her up in legal limbo for years.

While i agree Babcock may want to continue to paint a picture to the outside world that they mould morally upright individuals over there, they shouldn't in a bid to make that statement cause injury to the right of the concerned student.

The girl is in that school to get an academic qualification. She did not enroll in some theological school or some sort of school of divinity. How can the school claim their reputation was damaged by what a student chooses to do outside the school premises, without tying the school ID card to her neck nor wearing a regalia that identifies her with the school.

Well, I agree the judge would possibly award an not more than 10 students' fees to the lady should she institute an action against them, but saying the school lawyers would tie her in legal limbo for years may not really be true

A certain Felix guy was expelled by Convenant university in 2013 for possession of pornographic videos on his phone. He challenged the decision in court. Although he lost (which is beacuse he broker a law that was clearly stated in the school's handbook for students), the judgement was passed within months. He was expelled in november 2012 and a court judgement was pronounced in March 2013.
