ahiboilandgas:boss i have a question for you. I want to embark on a building project. I have two options but not too sure which is best for business. Building a 20 room self contain on a storey building or building a 30 room self contain on a two storey building? Considering the cost of building a 2 storey vs building a one storey building. Note:half plot 50ftx100ft, in the area is only 2.5m. |

Though my main worry is if FSDH Group is where one can invest in ie put your money and have peace that it’s safe. Reason I am asking is because I don’t come across FSDH Group here frequently. Please experts in the House I need your experience, biko.... I can’t come n loose my money. Thanks |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Generalmerchant: 4:24am On Nov 21, 2019 |
Kindly confirm if it's Stanbic ibtc stockbrokers you meant. I just started the account opening process. The opening deposit is 5m. But I want to be sure they can buy FGN bonds and not stock. [Aquote author=needful post=84217147] Use stanbic brokers if u wanna do FG bond and u can create the account online. Right now, they have 2yrs secondary market Fg bond and 3yrs. Goodluck.[/quote] |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by needful: 5:04am On Nov 21, 2019 |
Generalmerchant: Yes go for the account strictly for bond. The account opening fee for that one is 100,000 but the minimum to buy the bond is 20m. The 5m is for stocks, so u have to indicate what u want. Their brokerage fee is also good and cheaper than others(0.0007%). 1 Like |

Logictinz: It is a Merchant Bank. These are the following Merchant Banks in Nigeria FBN Quest Merchant Bank FSDH Merchant Bank Coronation Merchant. Due to the nature of their business model, they usually have about 3 branches in Nigeria. You will need a minimum of N20 million to buy Treasury Bills in some of these banks, but with 10k or thereabout you can buy their money market fund 2 Likes |

ahiboilandgas:I think with this your post l will agree with a co- landlord of mine who vammoosed to England finally around May 2018, I still have a copy of his visa on my phone, he worked with LASG for 15 years on a salary less than 150k, and I didn't believe it when he told me he earns less than 150k / per month in Nigeria, he left Nigeria out of frustration and a politician sitting in Abuja making useless satanic laws that has crippled the destiny of Nigeria is collecting egunje from multiple streams of corrupt channels like constituency allowance / padded budget / proxy contracts etc to the tune of a minimum of between 30 to 50 million Naira monthly 1 Like |

Maybe O wealth and alat is the way now you get 10%pa and pay 10% of interest as tax which brings you basically back to 9% pa the advantage is you can cash your money anytime without losing the interest I use to keep spendable funds inside but now with TB going down I might have to increase my investment. 1 Like 1 Share |

Witches:Stanbic is better to deal with via email. Contact their asset management team , very efficient. They opened my account within a day and sent me all the paperwork . Your capital is not guaranteed to stay the same , it will fluctuate based on interest rates which determines the bid price of the bond. If interest rates go up , your bond value price goes down and vice versa. However in a dollar bond fund I think the interest rates are quite stable, also you will earn from re invested dividends which will serve as a cushion in the event of interest rate fluctuations. It's a long time strategy , where you can drip feed your funds and benefit from dollar cost averaging. I'm risking it anyway. |

chigo4u: They're both bond funds meaning a collection of foreign denominated bonds. They buy from eurobonds. Yes the bond price may fall or rise ( if you sell b4 d maturity date) , it says it on the prospectus for both fbnquest eurobond and stanbic dollar fund. .. |

Have you heard about the saying "put your money where your mouth is". There are complications with financial investments, if you don't live in or are not from the country where you intend to invest, don't do it. The stress you will go through when there is a problem will threaten the return of capital. Invest in Nigeria where you can attend to any complications within 24 hours. richforever123: 6 Likes |
