1.Their power supply
2.Their water supply
3.The salaries too have to be up to the level of what obtains in federal establishments...or no one would work for them.

Churches earn a lot of money....but not enough to run their universites as a profitable venture. The big denominations are also paying pastor salaries, salaries for their other ventures, and so on.

Unless you want them to pay their lecturers N10000 monthly salary.

Plus, university chops money well well. That's a big reason why many of our unviersites are underfunded...the government does not have the cash to mantain them at the level of their international countrparts...some of whom have funding in excess of $100million annually.

I know what I am saying bro, if church is establishing a school, why not make it moderate to ameliorate the struggle of her members, I have made a survey and I found out that 90% of schools own by churches charges the most, if the aim of establishing the school is to help a local man, and not to make gigantic profit, why not make it affordable for every one in the church ??

THing is, universites cost a lot of money. They are not just for teaching, they are for research as well...and that's where the money bit gets important.

A university lab for example is very different from a secodary school lab for example.

IF we were talking about primary or secodary schools run by a church...yes, I would have gotten you. A university on the other hand...

Like now, salaries for lecturers are around N150000-400000 naira. The money has to come from somewhere...and since government is not subsdising them, it has to be fees.

Sorry, but educaiton is expensive. Even for church run universites.

Lemme burst ya bubbles bro, i know all u are saying because I have gone through the four walls of tertiary institution too and I saw my self through school I bursted my ass so hard to make that possible and I can tell you education ain't cheap neither is it expensive no matter the prize tag but I want you Compare their tuition fees with that of other private university and see the wide margin. Without quoting anybody, i must state categorically that Nigerians are gradually become opsessed with how men of God chose to go about their spiritual businesses, especially in the areas of tithe payment and use of church money. I want to know: can we (nigerians) also in this same manner criticize the native doctors or fetish priests because they also collect first fruit and Tithe offerings? The issue of Tithe is a spiritual thing, and so should be handled asuch. Whether the man of God chose to spend selfishly with the tithe money is betwn him and the Lord. I believe and have also found out that there are spiritual laws that governs wealth, tithing is one of them (Malachi 3) ; I believe it and is working for me. Even in the occulting settings, you must pay dues, budha, shingtoh etc have theirs. Many have layed up curses on their heads because they have mouth to talk over spiritual things they do not understand; tithe offering is by choice.
