While institution emails are highly advisable, but they can proceed with the personal emails if the referees can't access and/or don't have institution emails. If the schools you are applying to have any question further questions or clarifications about that, they would contact the referees.

Is it not better to buy the official GRE study material from from ETS and focus on that?.

What do you guys think about that?.

For those who have done it before and bought the official material, hope there is correlation between the exam and the material.

Your scores are not bad in my opinion. You can get schools that will fund you.
Any special reasons for an MBA why not an MSc in Bio-Chem(Biology, Chemistry)? MBA seems a bit difficult to be fully funded when compared to an MSc

Try Simon Business School in New York. A friend of mine though from one of the big 4 got a 60% funding with a similar score. Summarily, if you have a stellar work experience with accelerated promotion, you should be fine.

I, myself, I am having them as a backup as I am contemplating 2020 as well.

Interestingly, I just got my offer letter today with 50% funding.

Yes please, try to renew you passport before the exam if you can so you'd be on a safe side.
However, the passport is majorly used as an ID card.
