Have you ever wondered if God is beautiful? His beauty is contagious, the human wisdom and understanding is not something that can comprehend his beauty. His beauty is beyond the earth realm.

Do you have different opinion about God's beauty, do you think he is ugly? Looking at creation, the trees, the stars, the cloud, the satellites, the wisdom bestowed in man, man's intellect, the angels, don't you ever imagine and wonder how beautiful God must be? Have you ever been able to comprehend it?



Now let's go deeper into the spiritual realm, the scriptures in Revelation explains things better. It talked about the lamb with seven eyes and seven horns, the lion and the lamb, the consuming fire and also the living waters hmmm, how can the God who exhibit these kind of characteristics not make your life beautiful?

Hope you heard that the streets of heaven is made of gold? Hope you have also heard of the pure river of water of life clear as crystal proceeding out of the throne of God and of the lamb? Do you think the scriptures was joking when it said "the lord shall supply your needs according to his riches in Glory".



The holy scripture says in 1corinthians 2:9 "Eyes have not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the thing which God hath prepared for them that love him". There are depth in God that our minds can't conceive so he gave us tongues, so that even if our mind can't comprehend the depth in God, we might be able to fellowship with him. Is God not beautiful? Of course, he is.

Psalms 24:7-10 "Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah"

Even the gates and doors stand in awe of his beauty, they were like "the comeliness of these king is strange "we have seen kings, but we have not seen any in this form. They asked, who is this king of glory? Gates and doors responds to the beauty of his glory. You are battling with low self esteem, once the king of glory comes into your life, the gates and doors of self esteem bows to the lordship of his beauty.

The Glory of God is his beauty. A lot of things are encapsulated in his glory, you can't meet with God's glory and remain the same. If you remain the same, it wasn't the glory you had encounter with. Have you ever wondered why all what Moses wanted was to see God's glory. When he had a glimpse of it, the children of Israel couldn't look upon his face. No man can ever encounter God's glory and remain the same.

Isaiah 60:1 "Arise shine, for thy light is come and the glory of the lord is risen upon you". Isaiah 60:3 "And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising". These verses explain how that you can't encounter God's glory and remain the same, it says that because his glory is risen upon you, nations will come to your light".

Beauty attracts, since the glory of the lord is his beauty, once it comes upon you, it illuminate darkness, it brings men from far and near.

2corinthians 3:18 "but we all with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the spirit of the lord". In beholding his glory, that which was birthed in eternity before time began is manifested, we become changed in the same image as God.

Mark 9:2-3, 5 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
Vs 3: And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
Vs 4: And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. Peter couldn't comprehend what he saw, so he said let's remain here.

God's beauty is more than the outward appearance, No man encounters God's beauty remains the same. It illuminates you from within and extends to the outside.

God is never ugly, there is something about his beauty that calls forth light out of darkness.

There is something about his beauty that calleth those things which be not as though they were.

... I've observed a very huge dishonesty used in defining atheist by Christians

one day its "Someone who lacks belief in any god"

on another its "Someone who believes no god exists"

on another day it would be "Someone who says no god exists"

On another day it becomes "Someone who rejects deification"

I've always observed they chose whatever definition they want based on the agenda they have so I don't even bother with such a discussion anymore as I've observed its usually 2 people talking past each other, one trying to force an agenda and the other not seeing through the other person

TBH I'm starting to care less and less about labels because they most likely don't describe us well, it puts us in a position where we have to defend ourselves in relation to the group they say/we say we belong to

Here's MY own position on this, I'm agnostic to a "Creator" I'm of the opinion that there's still a possibility that there's a creator, however I'm not saying there's one and neither saying there isn't BUT for the claims of religious gods I'm a 100% atheist especially the abrahamic god,

the problem now starts when I'm to label myself/ when people are to label me, I emphasise myself as an atheist because those I usually discuss with are people that subscribe to the god I'm atheistic to; I will only become agnostic when someone like Deepsight, Raphiemontella, NPComplete, Anonynymous brings up their own idea of god, since I haven't argued with them in my close to 2 years of being in the religion section, I see no reason to claim agnostic; what then do those I'm atheistic to their god do? they hide under the god idea of those I mentioned up there and then tell me to defend my "Atheistic" stand; this becomes problematic and when I tell them I'm agnostic to that idea of a god they'll accuse me of being dishonest

I've observed most Nairaland atheists actually hold my stand too

let me stop this rant here and get back to your question, are agnostics also atheists? it depends on how you define the word "atheist"
