Hello beautiful people in the house. As an HND holder, should I apply for PGC/PGD? what's the difference between the two, kindly shed more light to it. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Qudkom(m): 2:58pm On Nov 21, 2019 |
vikky47:Get an affidavit "Name correction" to that effect and you're fine. Also get a letter from Nigerian Population Census and you're good to go. P.S; 1. Affidavit of Name Correction 2. Letter Confirming date of Birth from Nigeria Population Census. 3 Likes |

Qudkom: Why do I have to swear an affidavit for name correction, when the discrepancy is DOB? My Birth Certificate was issued by the National Population Commission, do I need to get any letter from them? Lastly, please do you know of anyone that was in this situation and eventually got his/her visa approved? Many thanks. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Qudkom(m): 3:41pm On Nov 21, 2019 |
vikky47:Yes many, it isn't a big deal if you have legal backing hence, the affidavit. You still need NPC to write a letter of reference to state your age, place of birth etc.. 3 Likes |

Confirm: it is a delay. Reasons: 1. Purpose of visit 2. current employment status 3. Employment condition in country of origin. All paraphrased because it is generic geotherm: |

I am refusing your application on the following grounds: • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. Second Application, Same reason. Frankrobbn1 place come to my aid |

Hello house, I am submitting my application soon, I want to ask if it is a must that the sponsorship letter must be on a letterhead paper? Does it have any advantage? Also, is the IMM5475 Authority to release personal info to a designated individual compulsory?... Thanks in advance for your inputs |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by MUN19: 10:04pm On Nov 21, 2019 |
If your sponsor has a company of his, you should use the company letterheaded paper. If otherwise use plain white paper. For the IMM5475, you do not need to fill it unless you’ve got someone you want to be a 2nd access to your application. Success GLASSES. Glasses1: |

Good morning guys, thanks for the good work u all have been doing on this platform, God bless you all. Have been a silent reader and follower here and all ur tips have been so useful. My first application was refused based on travel history, purpose of the visit and personal assets and finance around June this year. I consulted a lawyer who wrote letter of reconsideration for me, I also paid a semester fee of $9100. I travelled to Saudi Arabia last year December and also to UAE early this year. Also, my brother is my financial sponsor and have submitted all necessary documents listed on this platform previously. I reapplied on November 2, got confirmed same day and I received BVL on 20th of this month. Please Gurus in the house... What will be IRCC next move? Thanks 2 Likes |

holllowu: I regret to hear that your application for a study visa was refused based on the above shortlisted reasons. How were you able to explain the lucrativeness and reasonableness of undertaking your proposed program in view of the fact that there are similar available program back home. What were your home ties to Nigeria and how convincing was this paragraph in your SOP. Please can you share a detailed profile of your previous application and the list of documents you submitted alongside the application. This will help the knowledgeable members of this honourable platform to know how best to guide you for a successful reapplication. Never give up, your success story is right around the corner. It will end in praises. 1 Like |

Please can someone just share a success story? I'm so discouraged with so many refusal flying up and down. A little boost to keep some of us that just applied alive, my battery of hope is almost drained due to all these negative reports. I'm literally a nervous wreck. |

Folab080: I regret to hear your study visa was refused the second time. Please put yourself together as this is not the end of the road, but a stepping stone towards your TRV ladder of success. I strongly advice prospective applicants who were refused lately of their visas to defer their admission to the next available term Summer or Fall, 2020. I feel the Canadian embassy must have reached their quota for 2019. Why do i say so? This is because even the best/well packaged applications with full funded scholarships are been turned down on a daily basis at this period of time with generic/flimsy reasons within the space of 2-3 weeks of application submission. An applicant contacted me last week and narrated how he spent over 500k in Naira equivalent with the services of an immigration attorney in Canada but still his application was refused with same generic reasons given to Nigerian applicants. My sincere advise is that you defer your admission and let's hope for a fruitful 2020. It will end in praises. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

peaceful22: Don't be discouraged with what you see here lately. There will certainly be an approval soon. However, the number of refused applications far outweighs that of the applicants that will be approved for the remaining part of this year 2019. I have carefully analyzed the statistics starting from September until now when the high refusal rate begun, we can only account for estimated number of 14 approvals here. Whereas, the number of refusals over the past three (3) months as can be seen on this thread is over 75, this includes applicants who didn't declare their refusals here but are members of this thread. If anyone feels that I'm wrong with the above figures. You can take your time to count and you will see my assertion's are absolutely accurate as per the current refusal/approval rate. It will end in praises. |

peaceful22: You need not have/entertain such fears and worries. Your case is different. Its actually funny that some can still apply and get it approved despite the filled quota while some that have applied can still share positive news as well. God has the final say. All the best to those awaiting feedback. Keep hope alive. |

KrystalDesign: Applying Mid-December against Spring or fall intake 2020 is a good step in the right direction. Please be well informed that the visa officers at the Canadian embassy will be on break starting December 24-27th and will all travel to spend time with their respective families for the Christmas celebration. During this period, all immigration process will be paused and would resume fully after the festive period. It will end in praises for everyone. 2 Likes |
