The National Union of Road Transport Workers is an independent Nigeria Union that serves the interests of transport workers in the road transport sector, by calling for collective obtaining and pushing for social stability for all workers in the transport sector as defined in its constitution.

Even thou there are NURTW Chairmen all over Nigeria, the most popular is Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, better known as MC Oluomo .

I use to say NURTW Makes more money than UBER Worldwide, this as resulted in so many assassinations and violence over the years

NURTW doesn't make more money than Uber ..NURTW makes an estimated 188 billion naira annually while UBER 2018 revenues was 3.6 billion dollars which is about 1.3 trillion naira

Transportation is an individual business in the west. A sole proprietorship kind of business.

Most buses and Cars that operate in the south west are own by the drivers themselves through hire purchase.

So too everywhere ,but you don't see big companies like chisco ,peace mass ,ogoferi ,ABC in the west

It's not a south west thing for drivers to drive for companies, they rather engage a company that can give them those buses in form of Hired purchase.

In fact outside the South East, there's no region in Nigeria with alot big transport company.

South south has it a lot delta Edo , all south south state have transport companies

RTC , aktc ...the north has a lot too chingingi was about the biggest company in nigeria

Those are State backed or state funded Transport company.

We also have Alakowe, Ajimobi buses in Oyo state and I think Ogun state and Ekiti should have state backed Transport companies.

They also have the Brt buses in lagos.

Yorubas don’t travel all over Nigeria like igbos. SW is the travel destination of all regions.

Most Buses driven by Yorubas are private buses and most bus company are Igbo owned companies

NURTW is only present and strong in Southwest. It is like saying APGA state chairmen when we know APGA only exists in South east
